Scrape Youtube Video Comments with Airset Generator
3 mins read - Updated on Dec 05, 2025YouTube is one of the largest platforms for public opinion, where people express thoughts, reactions, and feedback on countless topics through comments. These comments are a valuable data source for understanding audience sentiment, content performance, and brand engagement.
With Kimola’s Airset Generator, you can automatically collect YouTube video comments and send them to your Kimola Dashboard for analysis.
Each collection you create becomes an Airset — a dataset containing raw comment data such as text and date. All Airsets are stored in your dashboard and can later be used for AI-powered analysis and reporting.
This guide explains how to scrape YouTube video comments step by step using the Airset Generator.
Ensure that the Airset Generator Chrome extension is installed and set up on your browser. You must also be signed in to your Kimola Dashboard and have connected your API Key. If you haven’t completed this setup yet, see Set up the Airset Browser Extension for detailed instructions.
Step 1: Open the YouTube Video
Go to youtube.com and open the video whose comments you want to collect.
Make sure the video’s comments section is visible by scrolling down — the Airset Generator only collects comments that have fully loaded on the page.
Step 2: Start the Airset Generator
Click the Airset Generator icon in your browser toolbar.
In the pop-up window, select Generate to start collecting comments. The tool automatically reads and saves the visible comments into a new Airset, including the comment text and date.
Pin the Airset Generator next to your browser’s address bar for quick access. The extension icon displays a small badge showing how many comments have been collected.
Step 3: Complete the Collection
The Airset Generator continues collecting comments as you scroll through the video’s comment section. Once you’ve reached the desired number of comments, click Continue in the extension to finalize your Airset. The collected data will be automatically saved to your Kimola Dashboard.
The Airset Generator can collect up to 1,000 comments from a single video per session.
Step 4: Access Your Airset
After completion, your new dataset (Airset) will appear under Latest Airsets in the extension window. Click its name to open and review your collected comments — make sure you are signed in to your Kimola Dashboard.
You can view all your Airsets anytime under Datasets → Airsets. To manage them — including renaming, downloading, or deleting — see Manage Airsets.
When you’re ready to analyze the collected data and extract insights, continue with Create a Report with an Airset.
By following these steps, you can efficiently gather public YouTube comments and turn them into actionable insights with Kimola’s analysis tools — helping you understand audience reactions, engagement, and sentiment around any topic or brand.
