Scrape Reddit User Comments with Airset Generator
3 mins read - Created on Dec 05, 2025Reddit contains millions of community discussions, where users share opinions, product experiences, service feedback, and personal insights. These comments can serve as valuable raw data for understanding consumer sentiment, trends, and user behavior.
With Kimola’s Airset Generator, a Chrome extension designed for data collection, you can capture Reddit comments directly from your browser and transfer them to your Kimola Dashboard for analysis. Every time you run the extension, it generates an Airset — a raw dataset that includes the collected comments along with essential metadata. These Airsets are automatically saved under Datasets → Airsets in your dashboard, where you can review, manage, or use them to create a report.
This article explains how to scrape Reddit comments step by step using the Airset Generator.
Make sure that:
- You have installed and set up the Airset Generator Chrome extension.
- You are signed in to your Kimola Dashboard, and your API Key is connected to the extension.
If you haven’t completed setup yet, follow the Set up the Airset Browser Extension guide.
Step 1: Open the Reddit Thread
Go to reddit.com and open the post (thread) whose comments you want to collect.
This may include product discussions, service reviews, feedback posts, or community conversations related to your research topic.
Step 2: Access the Comments Section
Scroll down the post to view the comments. Reddit loads comments dynamically as you scroll, so make sure the comments you want to collect are visible on the page. The Airset Generator can only capture comments that are loaded and visible.
Step 3: Start the Airset Generator
Click the Airset Generator icon in your browser toolbar. In the pop-up window, click Generate to begin collecting comments. The tool will automatically scan and save all visible comments into an Airset.
Pin the Airset Generator next to your browser’s address bar for quick access. The icon will display a small badge showing how many comments have been collected.
Step 4: Complete the Collection
Reddit uses infinite scrolling instead of numbered pages. If you want to collect more comments, scroll further down — as new comments load on the page, the Airset Generator will keep scraping them automatically.
When you are done, click Continue in the extension window to finalize the scraping process and save your Airset to your Kimola Dashboard.
Airset Generator can collect up to 1,000 Reddit comments per session.
Step 5: Access Your Airset
After scraping is complete, your new Airset will appear under Latest Airsets in the extension window. Click its name to open and review your dataset — make sure you are signed in to your Kimola Dashboard.
To browse all your Airsets, including older ones, see the List Airsets article, and to view, download, or delete any of them, refer to Manage Airsets.
By following these steps, you can collect Reddit user comments quickly and prepare them for AI-powered analysis within Kimola.
