Scrape Google Play Store App Reviews with Airset Generator

3 mins read - Created on Dec 08, 2025

Google Play Store hosts millions of app reviews that reflect real user experiences, feature requests, bugs, and overall satisfaction. With Kimola’s Airset Generator — a Chrome browser extension — you can automatically collect these reviews and send them to your Kimola Dashboard for analysis.

Each dataset you collect becomes an Airset, a raw data file containing unprocessed reviews gathered directly from the Play Store. All Airsets are stored under Datasets → Airsets, where they can later be reviewed, managed, or turned into reports.

This guide explains how to scrape Google Play Store app reviews step by step:

Getting Ready

Before you begin, make sure that the following are completed:

If you haven’t completed setup yet, follow this guide: Set up the Airset Browser Extension

Step 1: Open the App Page

Go to play.google.com and open the app whose reviews you want to collect. Scroll down to the Reviews section. The Airset Generator collects only visible reviews, so make sure the review area has fully loaded.

Step 2: Load More Reviews

If you want to collect more than the initial reviews displayed, click “See All Reviews” and scroll within the pop-up window to load additional reviews. The more reviews you load, the more the Airset Generator can collect.

Step 3: Start the Airset Generator

Click the Airset Generator icon in your Chrome toolbar. In the pop-up window, select Generate. The extension will automatically start reading and collecting all visible reviews on the screen.

Tip

You may find it helpful to pin the Airset Generator to your browser toolbar. As the tool collects data, the extension icon will show a live counter, allowing you to monitor the number of scraped reviews at a glance.

Step 4: Complete the Collection

When you’ve collected enough reviews, click Continue in the extension window to finalize the scraping session. Your dataset (Airset) will be created and automatically transferred to your Kimola Dashboard.

Note

The Airset Generator can collect up to 1,000 Google Play Store reviews per session. Consider this limit when planning your data collection.

Step 5: Access Your Airset

When the scraping is complete, your new Airset will appear under Latest Airsets in the extension window; click its name to open and review the collected reviews in your Kimola Dashboard. If you need help viewing or navigating all of your saved datasets, refer to the List Airsets article, and for actions such as viewing, downloading, or deleting a dataset, see Manage Airsets. When you're ready to run AI analysis or generate insights, continue with Create a Report with an Airset.

By following these steps, you can efficiently capture Google Play Store app reviews and prepare your dataset for AI-powered analysis in Kimola.
