Scrape Appsumo Product Reviews with Airset Generator

3 mins read - Created on Dec 08, 2025

AppSumo is a popular marketplace where users review software tools, digital products, and SaaS solutions. These reviews provide valuable insights into product usability, customer satisfaction, and feature expectations. With Kimola’s Airset Generator — a Chrome browser extension — you can automatically collect AppSumo product reviews and send them directly to your Kimola Dashboard for analysis.

Each dataset you create with the Airset Generator becomes an Airset, which stores raw review text and related metadata. All Airsets are saved under Datasets → Airsets in your dashboard, where they can be reviewed, managed, or used to generate reports.

This article explains how to scrape AppSumo product reviews step by step:

Getting Ready

Make sure the Airset Generator Chrome extension is installed and set up, and your API Key is connected to the extension. If you haven’t completed setup yet, see: Set up the Airset Browser Extension

Step 1: Open the Product Page

Go to appsumo.com and open the page of the product whose reviews you want to collect. Scroll down to the Reviews section to make sure the page displays user feedback.

Step 2: Start the Airset Generator

Click the Airset Generator icon in your Chrome toolbar. In the pop-up window, select Generate to begin scraping. The extension will automatically collect the reviews currently visible on the page.

Tip

You may find it helpful to pin the Airset Generator to your browser toolbar. As the tool collects data, the extension icon will show a live counter, allowing you to monitor the number of scraped reviews at a glance.

Step 3: Automatic Continuation

The Airset Generator continues scanning and capturing reviews across multiple pages. You can track the scraping progress directly from the extension window.

Step 4: Complete the Collection

When you’ve collected the desired number of AppSumo reviews, click Continue in the extension window. This finalizes the scraping and creates your dataset (Airset), which will be sent directly to your Kimola Dashboard.

Note

The Airset Generator can collect up to 1,000 AppSumo reviews per session.

Step 5: Access Your Airset

Once scraping is complete, your new Airset will appear under Latest Airsets in the extension window. Click its name to open and review the collected reviews in your Kimola Dashboard.

To review, download, or delete your dataset, see Manage Airsets; to access all Airsets you’ve created, see List Airsets; and when you're ready to analyze your data and generate insights, continue with Create a Report with an Airset.

By completing these steps, you can efficiently collect AppSumo product reviews and prepare them for structured, AI-powered analysis within Kimola.
