Scrape Yelp Reviews with Airset Generator

3 mins read - Created on Nov 04, 2025

Yelp is one of the most popular platforms for discovering customer opinions about restaurants, cafés, and local businesses. These reviews often include valuable insights about customer experience, service quality, and satisfaction levels. With Kimola’s Airset Generator, you can automatically collect Yelp reviews and transfer them to your Kimola Dashboard, where they can later be analyzed and reported.

An Airset is a dataset automatically created when you collect data through the Airset Generator. It stores the raw review information — such as the text and date — and is saved under Datasets → Airsets in your Kimola Dashboard.

This article explains how to scrape Yelp reviews step by step using the Airset Generator.

Getting Ready

Before you begin, make sure the Airset Generator Chrome extension is installed and properly set up on your browser. Then, sign in to your Kimola Dashboard and confirm that your API Key is connected to the extension. If you haven’t completed this setup yet, follow the steps in the Set up the Airset Browser Extension guide.

Step 1: Open the Yelp Page

Go to yelp.com and search for the business or service whose reviews you want to collect (e.g., a restaurant, salon, or café).

Step 2: Access the Reviews Section

On the business page, locate the reviews count next to the star rating under the business name and click it to open the review section.

Alternatively, scroll down the page to view customer reviews directly.

Step 3: Start the Airset Generator

Once the reviews are visible on the screen, click the Airset Generator icon in your Chrome toolbar. In the pop-up window, click Generate to start collecting data. The extension will automatically begin scanning the visible reviews and saving them into your Airset.

Tip

You can pin the Airset Generator next to your browser’s address bar for quick access. During scraping, the icon displays a small badge that shows the number of reviews collected — allowing you to monitor progress easily.

Step 4: Automatic Collection and Completion

The Airset Generator automatically continues collecting reviews across multiple pages. Once you’ve reached your desired number of reviews, click Continue in the pop-up to complete the process.

Note

The Airset Generator can collect up to 1,000 Yelp reviews at a time. Plan your scraping session accordingly to stay within this limit.

Step 5: Access Your Airset

After scraping is complete, your new dataset (Airset) will appear under Latest Airsets in the extension window. Click the Airset name to review your collected data — make sure you are signed in to your Kimola Dashboard.

You can also view all Airsets you’ve created anytime by going to in your dashboard.

For dataset management actions such as downloading, or deleting, visit Manage Airsets. When you’re ready to analyze your collected data, continue with Create a Report with an Airset.

By following these steps, you can easily gather customer feedback from Yelp and prepare it for deeper analysis in Kimola.
