Scrape Alibaba Reviews with Airset Generator

With Kimola’s Airset Generator — a Chrome browser extension — you can automatically collect these reviews and send them to your Kimola Dashboard for analysis.
Each dataset you collect with the extension becomes an Airset, a raw collection of unprocessed review data. All Airsets are saved in your Kimola Dashboard, where they can later be reviewed, managed, or used to create AI-powered reports.
This article explains how to scrape Alibaba reviews step by step:
Ensure the Airset Generator is installed and set up on your Chrome browser, and that your API Key is connected. If you haven’t completed setup yet, follow this guide: Set up the Airset Browser Extension
Step 1: Open the Alibaba Product Page
Go to alibaba.com and open the product for which you want to collect reviews. Scroll down the page until you reach the Ratings & Reviews section.
Step 2: Load All Visible Reviews
Click “View all reviews” to open the full review section. Once this section is visible, you do not need to manually navigate through each page — the Airset Generator will automatically move through additional pages and continue scraping reviews.
Step 3: Start the Airset Generator
Click the Airset Generator icon in your Chrome toolbar. In the pop-up window, select Generate. The extension will begin scanning and capturing the visible review data from the product page.
You may find it helpful to pin the Airset Generator to your browser toolbar. As the tool collects data, the extension icon will show a live counter, allowing you to monitor the number of scraped reviews at a glance.
Step 4: Complete the Collection
When the extension finishes reading the reviews, click Continue in the pop-up window to finalize the scraping process. Your newly created dataset (Airset) will be generated and sent directly to your Kimola Dashboard.
The Airset Generator can collect up to 1,000 Alibaba reviews per session. Please plan your data collection accordingly.
Step 5: Access Your Airset
After the scraping process is complete, your new Airset will appear in the extension window under Latest Airsets. Click its name to open the dataset and review your collected Alibaba reviews in your Kimola Dashboard.
If you need to take additional actions on your dataset, you can download or delete it using the guidance in Manage Airsets. To browse all Airsets you have created so far, refer to List Airsets. When you're ready to analyze the collected reviews using AI models or interpretations, proceed with Create a Report with an Airset.
