  • The Most Impactful Book I've Read

It is no hyperbole when I say this is the most impactful book I have read in a while. I first got the audio book and then the hardcover. My goals have become sharper, I am more targeted in my approach and I have been able to pinpoint the actions that lead to the attainment of the goals. This means that at any point in time I know how far or near towards a goal I am.
I have been recommending this book to everyone who would listen.

  • Markings in the book

I’m not sure if this is intentional, but there are markings all over the book. It’s as if someone was reading and marked some areas.

  • A book that should have been an article

Nobody loves productivity more than I do. I'm happy to spend money buying and time reading a book that will give me the tools to do what I do better - whether that means producing higher quality work or getting it done more efficiently. This book seemed promising and - to be fair - offers a conceptual reframing. It says to think in terms of a 12-week period instead of a year in planning and achieving your goals - good enough. It offers ways to monitor your performance. Where the book and I part ways is that it takes the book over 200 pages to say what it wants to say. I don't know why. The book felt like a couple of good ideas that would have made a useful article or blog post, but made for thin soup in a book of this length. I gave up after a while and returned it. Maybe, if you're more patient (or have more time) than I or some of these goal-setting concepts are new to you: think carefully before you set your goals; break them into measurable components; find ways to hold yourself accountable, etc. etc., the time the book wants from you will be worth it. For me it wasn't.

  • Worth the Wait!

I had to wait a little while for the book (I believe it may have been sold out), but it's a great read and was worth the wait.

  • If you know how to formulate your goals, this doesn't bring new insights...

After reading Michael Hyatt's "Your Best Year Ever", this book seems dull in comparison. I come from a detailed, step-by-step literature to a bird's eye view. Unless you (1) don't have enough sense of urgency, (2) don't know how to achieve more in lesser time because don't have systems to optimize your processes, or (3) have literally no idea on how to start achieving your goals, this book will be 45% skimming through the first part, 10% some actionable insights, and 45% repetitive general, non-actionable, shallow rambling.

tldr; it's fine if you're a newbie, if you're someone urgency-driven, there's nothing new here.
