  • Stay Away - now suing

    I have never posted any review, good or bad for any service. But I need to share this experience in the hopes others don’t fall victim to Landing’ shoddy business practices, and incompetence. Submitted a claim to BBB, and am now suing for damages.Short versionI rented an apartment through Landing for six weeks in Fort Lauderdale and paid for parking as part of my lease.About three weeks after my stay, I received notification from my rental car agency that they charged me $440 to cover parking violations issued by ProPark (manages the garage included in my lease). I’ve spoken with multiple contacts at Landing about the problem including customer service, the local manager, and the area manager. All have issued lots of apologies for the incorrectly issued fines, promised resolution, and all have failed to do anything. I’ve been exceptionally patient. This should have been handled in two days tops. It has been going on for two months now. Customer support refuses to give me any other managers' contact info, and they don’t return my calls. I'm now suing. Unbelievable they have allowed this problem to get to this point. I paid for a service (parking) and they didn't deliver..clear breach of contact, and they have displayed zero interest in making it right. Incompetence and failure at every level

    Picture this, It's Easter morning, I just finished my second of three 12 hour night shifts in a row. I want nothing more than to fall into my bed and go to sleep. But I managed to lock myself out, when I left for work the night before. I called the help line and they jumped into action! Phone calls were made and the best plan we could come up with went into action. Locksmiths, managers- from all areas- got involved. I was amazed at how quickly things started moving! BUT, the BEST part of it all..... my area manager, Angela showed up at my door, with all her spare keys and started trying to unlock one by one!! On Easter Sunday, Angela left her family and her plans to help get me in!! More phone calls were made, and I was in my apartment in no time!! She has been so helpful from day one!! I love how homey the Landing units are, but I'm SO incredibly grateful that even though I'm 1500 miles away from family and those I can rely on for help, I still have a team here with me, ready to jump in at a moments notice and get me taken care of!! I highly recommend The Landing and my team here in Austin has just been the absolute best!! Thank you!!
