Review of 'Inspired: How to Create Tech Products Customers Love'

This book provides an overview of product development, focusing on software development in consumer markets. It offers generalities and lacks comprehensive coverage, tools, and template examples. The writing style is poor and repetitive. While it may not be well-written, there is valuable information within. It is recommended for new product managers but may not live up to the hype. The book falls short in practical application and illustration, leaving room for further exploration. Overall, it offers insights into the role of a product manager.

  • Maybe good if new to product

As someone with about 15 years experience as a developer, I was kinda shocked when the product managers at my new company started a book club around it. Very remedial and entry level, wasn’t worth the cost or time. I stoped reading after the first third about.

  • Much Needed for a New PM

This is a great book for a new Product Manager to show how strong PM looks like. Do whatever possible to thoughtfully adopt these habits that Marty talks about. This book is more like a Bible though and great to initially read as an audiobook first.

  • It’s good but too helpful for beginners

If you are a non reader, wants to understand in layman terms & not industrial then it might not help you that much.
