From dropping the widget and now having to click they several menus to get to saved list? The UI is trash. Fix your mess.
I know our area well and have tried using this app to avoid heavy traffic. Almost always routes me to the heavier traffic and never reroutes based on traffic patterns.
I've been using Waze for many years. I use Waze to get from point A to point B so as a member of the Waze community, whenever I can, I participate in recording or confirming things on the route affecting the drive. Recently the Waze app began pestering me to send Waze a picture of my private property.
WAZE NEEDS YOU... Before you continue, allow Waze access to your Camera in your device settings.
This message filled the screen, and I had to force close Waze to get around it. I am busy before I go and after I arrive and so I don't have time for things that disrupt what I'm doing. But this demand is beyond a simple inconvenience; demanding I post a picture of my Home is creepy for an app to do.
This random demand to take a picture of my private Home occurs when I arrive at Home after using Waze to route to my saved "Home" location that is clearly recognized by Waze as my "RESIDENCE_HOME." If I were traveling to a public place, this might be understandable, but attempting to force Waze users to submit pictures of their private residences on private property is a threatening intrusion.
When I emailed Waze support about this, the whole issue became creepier. Waze support asked me what I was trying to do when this happened. I replied that when I selected "Home" as my destination, I was trying to get information about my drive home.
Waze support replied, "Please be informed that Waze is trying to improve our map details by requesting information from users."
It is unbearable that some fool at Waze thinks they can mangle the Waze app's good reputation by resorting to dirty tricks like bullying customers into uploading pictures of their homes for some nefarious purpose.
Over the years that I've used the Waze app, Waze made unnecessary "improvements" to the map of my private driveway, requiring I waste my time to first keep Waze from making strangers think that my driveway is a public road and then later to keep Waze from directing my legitimate visitors' past driveway into our wetlands. There was no excuse for those unnecessary map changes and certainly no acceptable reason for this shameful behavior.
I own my house and land, and they are not for sale. I've chased off plenty trespassers no have no respect for the honest work my family has put in to earn our privacy.
Most of the time, I've found Waze far more reliable than Google, Apple, or any other GPS apps, making it all the more intolerable that I should receive a "mapping" excuse for the Waze app. Locking up my phone to coerce me into taking a picture of my private residence and uploading it to Waze is absurd and could serve no moral purpose.
If you give Waze a picture of your house, it’s theirs to do whatever they want with it.
What’s up with the billing information
The newest update still hasn’t addressed the broken “and then” problem! Someone please direct me to a better option?..
Does anyone actually user test the changes before they make it to market? You’ve changed the way routes can be viewed, now only on screen in CarPlay, but they never display on the screen. So basically, a user can no longer view multiple routes making the experience inferior. I’m sure that’s not the intent so what happened here? Users should be excited about the evolution of an app they use every day, not frustrated by it.
Great app, but like others have stated, the update from a couple of weeks ago broke voice navigation.
What happened to the speaking voice. I can barely her despite the volume on my phone being turned all the way up. It’s been like this for quite some time. Please check this issue out.
Otherwise the app is great.
Waze is so far behind my location it gives turn notifications two blocks after my turn. The circle of confusion must be about a 1/4 mile. Basically unusable.

The longtime feature MyWaze is now gone from the app. That means my saved destinations and ability to snooze the app are gone. Nothing looks right. Icons are changed for no apparent reason. Why was there no warning about these big changes?
are used to be able to tap on the icons and see comments and now I am unable to see the comments.
A lot of times when I’m starting my four hour journey to Vermont I have a red light camera at the first intersection when I leave my house 50% of the time that info bar at the bottom of the screen freezes and that red light camera is on my trip the entire time until I get to Vermont unable to get rid of it please fix….
I dislike or just hate, which is more appropriate, this new UI. Please go back to what was great before! Please :)
No sound won’t talk to me as I drive. Constantly have to look at screen to know where I am going. Something needs done about it. Ever since new voices added it’s been junk. Please update it and fix it.
The app is a battery hog probably due to mostly ads that run in the background when you’re at a traffic light I’m just guessing here but like the other reviewer said of all the features not in the app.
This app has gone incredibly downhill. It does not route you to the fastest route, twice this last week it let me directly into traffic. These were parallel roads where the choice was given, routed me to route where I then sat in traffic, as I watched the local or ‘trucks’ side of the highway speed past
Utter and terrible failure
Waze is becoming progressively worse concerning arrival time accuracy. Typically it’s off by 10-20 minutes. Also, using it on big cities like Boston and NY is painful because Waze does an exceptionally poor job showing which of a 2 or 3-road lane split we should stay on. Lastly, I’ve confirmed several times that Waze is not routing the fastest routes especially via back roads. Too bad. It used to be a great app.
PS: When I report road closures or similar detours I sometimes receive messages from Waze editors asking for more information. Waze does not allow me to reply to them. How dumb!
If your phone is on low power mode, the app starts in sleep mode when you plug it into the car. So, it doesn’t pull GPS info. It’s hard to navigate anywhere without accurate GPS. This is a known limitation of the program.
Ever since Waze made an update not too long ago, the whole app freezes, the routes don’t load as fast as they used to and when you cancel a trip, it keeps loading and loading. So disappointed in the app; I used to use it all the time.
Awesome navigation and easy to use. Can you add traffic lights, stop signs etc? That would be helpful for driving in unfamiliar areas. Otherwise awesome directions with the app!
Waze is the only app that it’s on real time, other drivers alert on traffic, accidents, road kills, objects on the road, road hazards and most important POLICE presence. Sometimes when I’m late to work, I have to go over the speed limit and thanks to the drivers ahead I get to work on time. If you have Waze and you don’t tell your friends and family about it? You’re not doing your good deed of the day. Everyone should know and use Waze every day. But you should know that not everyone is honest on the reports, so be careful out there and drive and also Ride safe. Bless you all.
Like many other users my turn by turn audio navigation no longer works. Waze just randomly says “and then.” This has been a glitch for the past week.
On iPhone 7, version 15.7.5, with Apple Car Play on 2023 Kia, the app disconnects Wi-Fi and Bluetooth between iPhone and Kia Car Play council and totally takes over the Kia council making everything inoperable on the car play council except for the Waaze App which from tnat point acts like AI took over and it’s doing what it wants on its own and nothing else can work. Don’t ask me how the waaze app is still accurately navigating vs ar driving and updating speed, etc while it totally disconnected phone Wi-Fi and also Bluetooth from the Kia Council. You might be okay with this if you don’t want to use anything else on the car play. However, if you are in Wyoming heading to Devil’s Tower and into areas of weak signal, it’s going to upset you when it picks a different way once you find out it took you the wrong way and added 2 hours to your day trip plan. I uninstalled and tried it again two days later. Totally takes over Kia car play council and disconnects iPhone. Only reasonable fix is to uninstall and use google or the iPhone maps. Not going to let the app ruin another trip. This is an honest review. Good luck kiddies. I’m back to the two apps that control the patents, no more time for a toy.
I’ve used your app for years bragging to people. But over the last month April-May 2023 you’ve done something to the software so:
1. You can find scheduled drives
2. You have to go 3 screen back to change navigation.
3. The voice won’t complete sentences. He just says then.. then or and and never tells you which way to turn! You have to keep looking at the screen, which defeats the entire purpose of the app! What is going on? Did you hire a new CEIO that felt like they needed to shake things up? Well they sure did! Everyone I know is complaining about the same issues and more. WHY SCREW WITH PERFECTION??
When starting the app on Carplay in my Jeep GC, the map is frozen on the last stop or last location. I have to disconnect 2-3 times before it goes to the current location.
