Youngs are the determinant of content decisions.

According to research conducted by SuperAwesome, the influence of young viewers is of significant importance in families' choices of home streaming platforms. When deciding to subscribe to a digital streaming service for their household, parents take into consideration not only the cost but also the content needs of their children and the availability of "family-friendly content" that can be watched together.

Gift cards continue to maintain their popularity based on a study conducted by TSG and Bank of America. Over the past year, 76% of consumers have purchased at least one gift card, with 40% expressing a clear preference for digital gift cards. During special occasions, 76% of consumers opt to give gift cards instead of physical items. The act of both giving and receiving gift cards provides a gratifying and appreciated experience for consumers, as evidenced by 84% finding the experience of receiving gift cards enjoyable, and 87% feeling a sense of gratitude when receiving gift cards from their employers. These findings emphasize the lasting significance of gift cards in the retail sector, with an increasing trend towards digital gift cards.

Being eco-friendly seems expensive.

According to the 2023 Sustainability Trends Report, a significant majority of consumers (73%) express a desire to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. However, there are key obstacles that hinder consumers from making more sustainable purchases, such as a lack of information about how products are sustainable (48%) and the perceived high prices of sustainable products (45%).

Young shoppers' preferences shift.

Generation Z shows intense interest in technology that shapes the shopping experience. Unlike traditional shopping preferences, this generation places more importance on technological solutions such as automatic payments and self-service kiosks. On the other hand, Generation X shoppers emphasize interaction with well-designed store layouts and knowledgeable staff. These different preferences indicate that businesses need to better integrate technology into the shopping experience to attract the younger generation.

Generational shift in tipping habits.

According to recent research, it appears that the habit of tipping has decreased over the years due to the increase in the cost of goods and services. However, the tendency of Americans to give tips largely depends on demographic factors and location. According to a study conducted by Bankrate, Generation Z is the least likely to leave tips for service workers, while boomers are the most likely tippers.
