  • These folks are absolutely horrible

    These folks are absolutely horrible. Steer clear at all costs. They misrepresent information, are inaccessible, and really don't care about the landlord or the tenant. I've been renting properties for 10+ years and this property management company is by far the worst. Their app and tech is nifty. Everything that matters is just garbage. 1) Impossible to get ahold of. If you want to talk to a property manager, you have to schedule a call with them often a week or more in advance. They are not assessable. Scheduling a call is the only option outside of email communication. 2) Their service providers for any type of repair charge 100% or more over the competition. Several times I have had to ask them to stop using certain vendors because of this.3) There are hidden monthly fees that they charge tenants without owner consent. 4) Their "protections" are not real. I had a tenant break the lease and they told me their rent protection (which is heavily advertised) is just essentially just borrowing from your future profits. It is essentially a short term loan, not a protection of any kind. 5) With the tenant that broke the lease 7 months in advance, they also told me that they would not press charges if the tenant doesn't pay month to month until a new tenant is found despite marketing legal protections. That $5,000 dollar amount to cover court costs and fees that is advertised is complete garbage. 6) I had to rekey a property and they wanted to use smart locks, which is great. Will save the cost on rekeying in the future. What I found out is that their price for the brand and model of the smart lock was x2 the cost of what I could find online. I then had to argue to buy the lock myself instead of purchasing through them. This was the very exact make and model. Do NOT work with these folks. Truly. They're dishonest and can barely collect rent.

  • I felt scammed and lied to

    I came upon Mynd through a house I was renting in West Phoenix. I was under an individual management company until 2017 when Mynd took over. Their system was good for about 6 months until I had my first problem with them. I had a roof leak. They sent out two companies to check and then paid one of them to just fix the outside issue but not do anything with the inside of the home. Mold and a yellow stain on the master bedroom ceiling was something we had to live with for over 4 years. Then came along June 2022. The AC goes out. Mynd would take 2 days before responding to my emergency and would not have the decency to resolve the issue quickly in 115 degree weather. I had to room my family in a hotel out of my own expense and not a single word of apology from their end. In fact their management went as far as arguing with me as to what they thought was an emergency to them is not the same as it is to me. From there I know I couldn't stay any longer. So I began to search for ways to get out of it. Come June 2023 and they bumped up my rent by $500 and I could only do month to month. I agreed and then notified them that I was moving out since I finally bought a home. I went to go pay my August rent and they double charged my account. I was not paying that. Over $3600. So I fought it and since they didn't make the changes on their website they claimed I did not pay rent and they were setting me up for eviction. I told them that they needed to make those changes and when they finally did, they filed anyway and shut down the website and I could not pay the rent. I had to then pay for a lawyer to fight them in court and my case was dismissed because they agreed I only owed the $1836. Now six months since moving out I never asked for my deposit back or anything, I just wanted out of that house. They the. had the audacity to charge me $128, which is now in collections. Thanks Mynd for making my experience such a bad one. I would never ever recommend or even talk about this company in any positive way. They have pretended to be helpful and in the end all they want is to get your money and don't care about your living state or anything else. I hope people can read this post and understand how bad they are and most likely I am not the last person they do this to. Good luck people and watch out for them.

  • -0 my heater has not since December 14

    -0 my heater has not since December 14, 2023. One vendor came out and said the whole unit needed to be replaced. Mynd decided not to go with the vendor. They sent they different vendors out looking for the cheapest what out. I was told to go purchase a heater from the store. I purchased 2 heater unfortunately I was not able to plug up two heater up steps in the house I rent from it was 18 degrees out I had no heat at allAfter purchasing 2 heat the power went out.

  • SCAMMERS ALERT!!!

    This business is a scam do not allow they to manage any residential unit!! Their process and poor management will end up costing you more money than you will earn in revenue. Be leery of fraudulent repair orders, the lack of urgency for true emergencies, and poor coordination between on-site vendors and property managers. They will not provide advance notice when transitioning to another property manager on their “team” and their follow-through lacks professionalism. This is a terrible business!!!

  • Nightmare

    I terminated my contract with Mynd on the initial day. Despite assurances during onboarding, they failed to deliver the promised service, displaying a significant lack of integrity. My experience with Mynd involved a stark contrast between their verbal commitments and actual actions, resulting in wasted time and money. Despite no property management, they continue to charge me a nonexistent "management fee," and they are unwilling to cancel the contract. I hope to conclude this disappointing experience soon.

  • They overspend your money and you have no say

    Terrible. They manage 3 of my houses, and I spend more time managing Mynd than what it would take me to manage the houses myself. They spend a LOT of money on repairing the houses. The owner cannot even approve the spend, they auto approve it, so they spend your money how they want. They are putting their hand in your pocket. I get on average 1 service request per house per week, which is absurd. Either the tenants are abusing, or Mynd is getting revenue from these repairs somehow. Incentives are NOT aligned.
