Horrible and full of tricks to jack the price up to more than what you agreed to. I had to pay $450 for a 10 hour rental. They pushed back my reservation bc 'my deposit' didn't go through, despite having the receipt, confirmation email, and my bank telling me it was processed. Kyte also sent me a text on the way to return, with the wrong operating hours for the lot. They took no accountability for that mistake and charged me an additional $195 for being late. STAY AWAY!!
So far the worst customer service of any car rental company I have ever tried to spend my money with. Cancelled my reservation last minute without explanation or due cause. No resolution from CS. Possible Federal CPA violations. Charged me for the service BEFORE RENTAL DATE as well. Demanded DL picture in the APP, THEN denied/cancelled service without proof of background/license check. I could go on.
So far, so good. I tried to book online, but ended up moving to the app to complete the process. The Web app stalled where I couldn't click anything to proceed. The app stalled at the insurance part - it turned out that the policy number isn't optional (as written).
I used Kyte a couple of times but never again! When I rented from them last time, I was stopped to get a normal suv, but instead, they gave me this giant oversized trick that they said was the only car they had left. I didn't want it, but it was all they had. One fender ended up getting scratched, and they charged me circling instead of going to my insurance company. $2000 for a lousy fender? Give me a break! It took months to sort out all out. Never again would I rent from Kyte. Renter beware

The Kyte service is good. The phone app is not. I make my reservations from the Web on my computer because the app's behavior is so undependable. I'm not even going to list the bugs. Suffice it to say that the app hasn't been sufficiently road-tested before being released. For me, the app serves merely as a portable reference for the rental.
