It's a great account to have am now making interest much more than the high street banks. Highly recommended

Avoid Monzo!! Terrible banking service, was with them for 3 years and one day just received an email that the account has closed with no reason as to why… Anyway what ever opened a new account with a proper bank and all is good. BUT! When an account is closed no money can be transferred in or out unless you are Monzo! They have successfully received a refund payment and not bounced it back. I have been trying to get in contact with Monzo for the last 4 weeks, holding up to 2 hours on the call waiting for someone to pick up.. can’t use the chat service as they blocked me on the app…. I would really advise if you want your money protected and not wake up one day with all your funds blocked and wait months to get it back I would avoid..
The app is very intuitive and easy to use.The exchange rates when traveling abroad are reasonable.The saving pot offers competitive interest rates on my savings.

Great bank easy to use
Use Monzo great for personal use but they have really let me down for business use. Been waiting for 3 weeks for a business account decision and nothing! Live chat can't commit to making any promises about how long it will take. Will now look elsewhere.

Did an account transfer from Santander toMonzo, I am stillWaiting for over £1300 pounds to be transferred to me which was my final balance with Santander !!! And it’s been 6 weeks - joke of a company - please avoid l now have no choice but to goto the ombudsman. Take my advice stick with a “proper” bank. There customer service stinks

Very comfortable app, it's so much more straightforward and user-friendly than most banking apps. And the bank itself is lovely, I've had zero problems so far (knock on wood!) And the 4% you gain from savings accounts is amazing, I love it! I'm incredibly happy with Monzo and really don't want to change my bank.

If you want to be Messed about, Money held for ages before it goes into your account even though they take a % then get yourself a Very Poor Customer Service Monzo business account.
Worst customer service ever. I requested my paper bank statement it did not come through in 6 working days. I have been trying to talk to them about it and request the bank statement again but the are just beating around the bush. I started contacting them since 11-ish am and its 2.26 pm, two different representative chatted at around 4-ish pm and 1-ism am but they left the chat without addressing the elephant in the room.
A real shame. I'd enjoyed Monzo prior to last week when whilst on holiday they froze my card - no warning, no request from me. And then wouldn't unfreeze it. A week later and after multiple emails, I've just cancelled the card because seemingly nobody could be bothered to unfreeze it. Anyway, I'll still stick with Monzo for now but just be wary with some of these new banks because they're processes and policies can be a bit meh and you can end up in a foreign country without access to your money if they make a mistake like in my case.

Received the payment for selling a car privately, after few minutes of receiving the payment Monzo has disabled my account and does not let me access the app anymore. I've been contacted trough the app to provide info about the payment I receive. Tried to call them but there is no one to talk to, just left me hanging. Can't even use the app to contact them through the chat.
