Bought "premium" seats so I could recline and be more comfortable for 12 hours of flying.. The guy behind me kept hitting my seat so hard it was lurching me forward. Alaska air said all they would do was issue a measly $100.00 credit towards my next flight. That didn't even cover the extra cost of "premium". I have done quite a bit of traveling in my day, but one airline I had never experienced until recently is Alaska Airlines. I flew Alaska Airlines from Houston to Seattle, then onward to Eugene, Oregon. It was my first time to fly this airline, so I was more in tune than usual to things like comfort, customer service, etc. The flight from Houston to Seattle was a long one, but the aircraft was large enough to accommodate, with a good deal of legroom. The overhead bins were larger than expected. And I found the customer service better than average. The flight attendants were dressed casually and were more than ready to help make your flight an enjoyable one. I didn’t have any issues with on- time arrivals or anything like that. The pilot kept us informed on things when necessary and we made it to Seattle and then Eugene with no delays. One thing I wish had been in greater abundance on the plane is outlets for charging phones. But that is about the only issue I can think of at this time. My daughter and I both have a positive first impression of Alaska Airlines and we are more than ready to use their services again. …
