Decent hard product, love the place but some things let us down:My partner and I are late sleepers - we got woken up in the early morning with drilling sounds despite being on the 9th floor.Asked about it at the front desk only to be told that it could be banging/hammer sounds from the wedding installation works.Personally I find this highly unlikely due to the distance between the wedding venues (2nd floor) & us in terms of floors.Minibar fridge was also not working from check in till evening - had coffee in the fridge which tasted funky as a result. Repairmen came to swap it out but it was too late for my coffee Service is great, everyone was all smiles.Overall, just wish the rooms are more soundproof.
Hotel was magnificent. A little long of a walk to orchard road shops but GORGEOUS. GOBI provided standout service, also the breakfast was out of this world. Make sure to checkout the spa even if u donât get a service!
Rooms were nice clean and amazing. Service was just amazing but there was one man that stood out. Gobi. That man is a jewel he is the best bellman that has ever walked this planet. You better give this man a raise not only that but give him a promotion. He is hard working and always shows up with a smile on his face. Gobi is the GOAT. (Greatest of all time). Otherwise everything else was great tooRooms: GreatNearby activities: Everything is near bySafety: Super safe you ainât getting robbed here donât worryWalkability: Great to walk anywhereFood & drinks: YummyNoteworthy details: Gobi was amazing. Best bellboy to walk the planet
An older school high-end, luxury hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. The fitness center is decently equipped for a hotel gym.My only quibbles would be:(1) The location of the hotel is not that convenient. It's a bit of a walk to the Orchard/Scotts Rd area. MRT stops are not close by in case you want to go exploring elsewhere in Singapore and don't want to rely on Grabs and taxis.(2) There's no club lounge, which many of the more modern hotels offer. It's sometimes nice to have a space to chill out and relax that is outside the room, but not the lobby cafe.
Even a platinum doesnât give you good service canât imagine how it is for non platinum members. Expect to wait 30 mins or more for simple requests like toothbrush/ water. Breakfast selection at a 3 - 4 star hotel is even better. Prices of everything high but value of it not thereStaff does not open door for you although they are just standing there. Arrival without luggage help. Untrained and unprofessional staff. Itâs a shame that this got approved as a St Regis when mercure was even better. You can see thereâs management issues here for sure. And cheapskate management at that
Dated, smallish rooms that are poorly equiped. Good luck trying to charge multiple devices.Unhelpful and unfriendly front desk. Hotel doesnât recognise status. Not sure if it was just our room, but housekeeping wasnât ideal, as there was trash under the bed from a prior guest.Porters and butlers are friendly, professional and effective. The one saving grace of this hotel.Have stayed at many of the St Regis hotels globally, and many of the top hotels in Singapore. This is one of my least favorite in both categories.
