Uncover essential life skills for young adults with our in-depth analysis of customer feedback on this pivotal book.
I picked up this book at the library for myself, as Iâm heading to college in a month. This book truly covers everything I need to know for life outside of the classroom, and I finished it within a day (only about a 1.5-2 hour read). From quick and easy breakfast recipes to advice on searching for jobs post-grad, I took many notes and am grateful to have found this book.
This booklet is a good read for teens to get the most important facts about how to manage their finances. It offers great tips for everybody, too.
I have reviewed and seen many life skills books over the years. Most of them cover skills for more severe intellectually disabled teens who may eventually live in groups homes. Or they are geared too high with vocabulary beyond where our teen functions. Our guy is most likely going to live independently, but needs explicit instruction and guidance in practical, everyday skills. This book is exactly what we need to help him in this last year of high school and beyond. Thank you!
This book is super simple to read for those clueless about adulting (like myself lol)
I was hoping for a book that included skills that my son needs as he is entering college. Additionally, was hoping that it would generate conversation on how he would handle situations as an adult. How to complete a job application, ask for a reference, ask your boss for a last minute day off, the importance of credit.
This book is for preteen not teens entering adulthood.
So this is the follow up book to life skills for tweens and the topics cover a larger range for older kids such as Keeping a budget, Housekeeping and Dealing with Anxiety and Stress The chapters are easy to follow Iâve seen that there were a few typographical errors but the continent has value and didnât interfere with my childâs learning on the topic. Kids nowadays donât know how to make change or make appointments over the phone and thanks to books like these and the wide range of topics in this book I believe my child will develop the skills to be more independent and self reliant.
My opinion is that this book would make great curriculum for homeschoolers too!
