    You decide to cancel my flight, but then give me no options on resolution!!!I'm losing time and money by contacting via phone, email, Facebook messenger with the standard response of its not our fault... so who's is it? The popes?Words of advice - If you want a quality service from customer relations onwards, book elsewhere.TOTAL INEPT FOOLS

  • Fraudulent and misleading

    Absolute disgusting company. I called within 24h of booking a flight to cancel the tickets and was reassured that I would receive a full refund with no penalties. However, I was told I'd have to wait 3 weeks for it to process. After 3 weeks, still nothing. I therefore called back and was told that they had a backlog of cases and asked to wait 3 more weeks. It has now been 6 weeks since I cancelled the tickets and, after chasing them again, they are now saying they will only partially refund me and ... to wait 3 more weeks. This is utterly disgusting, I can only assume this is either severely mismanaged if not a scam. Stay away from them if you can.

  • Disappointing Customer Service and Misleading Information

    I recently had the unfortunate experience of flying with Air Mauritius, flight no MK748 on 06/07/2023,PNR 6CTN23,and I must say that it was a deeply disappointing and frustrating encounter. The customer service provided by the airline, particularly by a staff member named Munbodh T, was shockingly subpar.Firstly, the impolite behavior displayed by Munbodh T was unacceptable. Instead of providing assistance and addressing my concerns with professionalism, they exhibited rudeness and a dismissive attitude. It is disheartening to witness such discourteous behavior from a representative of an airline that prides itself on delivering quality service.Additionally, the lack of knowledge exhibited by Munbodh T regarding the aircraft seating configuration was astonishing. Their inability to provide accurate information about seat availability and allocation was frustrating, to say the least. This lack of knowledge is indicative of a broader issue within the airline's training and staff development programs, which ultimately results in a disservice to its passengers.Furthermore, what truly astonished me was the deceptive claim made by Munbodh T regarding the aircraft's occupancy. Despite clear evidence suggesting a half-empty flight, they insisted on falsely asserting that the aircraft was fully occupied. This deliberate attempt to mislead customers is not only unprofessional but also undermines the trust that passengers place in the airline.Overall, my experience with Air Mauritius was marred by the combination of poor customer service, impolite behavior, a lack of knowledge regarding aircraft seating, and misleading information provided by Munbodh T. It is disheartening to witness such a decline in the standards of an airline that was once renowned for its quality service. I sincerely hope that Air Mauritius takes immediate action to rectify these issues and restore its reputation for providing a satisfactory customer experience.

  • Worst company ever

    Worst company ever. Recently they changed my flight so I had to book a hotel to accommodate the extra night. So when I reached out to ask for them to refund the hotel fee, they completely ignoring my emails. It’s been over 1 month now. Very disappointed regarding the service especially I’ve been a loyal customer for years.

  • Untrustworthy!

    I requested for missing miles on 3 occasions on the website using the required form. Nothing was done. I send a complaint and received an email informing me the missing miles will be added within 2-3 days. Over a month afterI checked and still nothing been done. It is like they absolutely do not care about the customer service and response. You can not trust a word of what they say. Gosh, any sensible companies will get their act together after so many bad reviews. Guess they still operating as their are state owned by the Mauritius government. If anyone is checking this site to make an informed decision on whether to use AM or not. DON’T! Run a hundred miles from AM. Plus they are not even the best value for money.

    • A ce niveau c’est de la maltraitance…

      Cette jolie compagnie de mon enfance est devenue bien pourrie. Les repas ne sont pas bons, le personnel est hautain et loin de la traditionnelle hospitalité Mauricienne mais bien plus grave : le service après-vente est odieux. Deux plaintes distinctes et aucune réponse. L’une s’agissant d’un retard de 4h, l’autre sur 2 sièges « leg room » que nous payés mais qui ont été refusés à l’enregistrement pour cause de masque à oxygène défectueux en nous assurant que nous serions remboursés par la suite. A l’embarquement finalement nous voyons d’autres personnes s’y installer. Première insulte. Deux ans plus tard, et malgré les relances, aucun remboursement. Deuxième insulte. A fuir absolument. Là nous partons à 20 personnes cette année et j’ai recommandé à tous de ne pas prendre air Mauritius.

    • Shocking Ccustomer Service

      My wife and I recently flew with AM from Cape Town. The flight out was delayed by 12 hours and the return flight was cancelled as we were leaving the hotel for their airport! Had a 24 hour delay getting home, wasted money on a hotel that we didn’t use, extras dash’s car hire etc etc. Emailed Customer Service with details and got an automated 22 day response! Still waiting.

    • Vol annulé toujours pas remboursé

      Plus d'un an que nous attendons le remboursement du vol Air Mauritius entre la Réunion et l'Île Maurice annulé pour cause de cyclone.Notre voyage a dû être complètement réorganisé, la compagnie a encaissé l'argent , n'a pas effectué le vol et nous ne sommes pas remboursé , je ne parle pas en plus de l'indemnisation complémentaire qui est due.L'agence Travelgenio qui s'est occupée du voyage nous a régulièrement indiqué qu'Air Mauritius ne les avaient pas remboursés.Après plusieurs relances je viens d'écrire au siège à l'île Maurice (pas d'adresse en France pour cette compagnie) et toujours aucune réponse. Air Mauritius à fuir absolument !!! (nous qui voulions faire travailler une compagnie locale ... nous sommes bien déçus et ne le referons surement pas .)

      This company don’t care at all about their customers. Look at all the complaints on here- they never bother to respond. I’m owed over £300 but I have literally no idea how to get it back from them as I’ve made about a dozen requests for help and as yet haven’t even been able to start the refund process.

    • Arrived in Paris after a 12 hour flight…

      Arrived in Paris after a 12 hour flight from Mauritius, flights, food and service was very good, however one hour connection time for flight back to Manchester woefully to short especially on a half term week. Doors on aircraft did not open for 20 minutes and with being in the middle of the aircraft did not disembark for almost 30 minutes. Surely they know it is impossible to get to gate that quick, 2 hours would be barely enough. We waited for 24 hours as all flights were full till the next day. Paid for hotel, taxi fares , food etc from own funds and have had no response from AM. Several emails , all get same automated response, spoke to staff in UK , nothing they can do, get up in the middle of the night and ring AM was their best suggestion. Like most others with reviews just want what is fair, also missed a days work. I was very happy with the flight , service until we reached Paris.

      Vol MK219 du 29/12/2022 entre la réunion et l'île Maurice .Air mauritius nous a demandé par mail de venir 3h avant à l'aéroport, du fait de l'encombrement aux enregistrements au départ de saint-Denis. Donc selon où vous vous situez à la réunion vous prévoyez 2 h de transferts pour atteindre l'aéroport.Une fois à l'aéroport, Vous apprenez sur place, (sans mail au préalable) que votre vol a été repoussé d'une d'1h30 sans explication. Mais on vous a quand même demandé d'arriver plus tôt. Cela fait une attente de 6h30 pour une durée de vol de 45 min, vol à prix prohibitif quand vous faites le ratio distance/prix.En guise de geste commercial la compagnie nous offre un bon pour boisson de 2,14 € À consommer à la buvette de l'aéroport là où le prix d'un sodas avoisine 4 euros.Mais bon comme certains diront ; Le principal c'est d'arriver en vie .Où comme nous a dit l'hôtesse à la borne d'accueil d'un ton sarcastique ; "ne vous inquiétez pas vous partirez en vacances, le vol est juste retardé! "Encore plus d'ironie quand l'avion repoussé de 11h55 à 13h30 n'est toujours pas à la porte d'embarquement à l'heure où l'embarquement est supposé être terminé. On vous colle 20 minutes de plus À chaque annonce.Le fait est que la compagnie a son avion en panne . Pour y remédier elle a affrété un avion d'une compagnie maltaise un A330 de Maleth Aero. Un avion qui a 20 ans, connu pour sa technologie dépassée et ses nombreuses pannes. Cet avion est lui même en panne, collé sur le tarmac.En outre Maleth Aero est une compagnie soupçonnée d'être complice de trafics d'animaux en voie d'extinction à des fins d'expériences en laboratoire, d'après les sources sur internet. Devrais-je soulever des questions éthiques et morales en plus des événements ?!Malgré les problèmes techniques non résolus, on nous fait quand même embarquer à bord de cet avion (cercueil) de remplacement. Le pilote, lui, essaye de lancer les moteurs, sans relâche, sans que ses essais ne soient concluants.Pourtant à bord de la cabine les odeurs de kérosène et de brûlé finissent par faire paniquer les passagers. Les annonces de décollage imminent se succèdent toutes les 20 minutes durant presque 3 heures mais l'appareil ne quittera pas son aire de stationnement. Nous restons 3 heures pris en otage par un équipage antipathique et dépassé par la situation. On a vraiment l'impression d'être à bord d'un avion qui pourrait prendre feu à tout moment tandis que pilote s'obstine à faire ses tests moteurs avec tous ses passager à bord. Je ne sais pas si c'est le protocole en terme de sécurité. Il aura fallu des crises de paniques et un soulèvement des passagers à bord, pour convaincre l'équipage de nous débarquer.Quand je me retourne pour regarder l'avion depuis la passerelle, je m'appercois qu'une énorme flaque est visible sur le tarmac, sous l'avion. Kérosène ? Eau ? Je ne saurai jamais, mais ce que je peux affirmer c'est que mon intuition m'a fait réaliser que j'étais peut être enfermé à bord d'une bombe à retardement.On nous fait récupérer les bagages avec la police au sol, comme comité d'accueil. Pour les réenregistrer autour des 19h pour un décollage prévu à 21h.Finalement l'avion se met en roulage à 23h et nous arrivons vers minuit sur l'île Maurice.Dans l'aéroport de Saint-Denis durant l'attente, la presse locale se déplace pour venir à la rencontre des passagers et nourrir sa rubrique faits divers, avec nos péripéties. Une presse qui aura largement de quoi se mettre sous la dent, pendant toute cette période de fêtes avec les multiples ratés de la compagnie,m et ce même avion de remplacement qui refera parler de lui ensuite, sur un vol à destination de Madagascar.12h de retard .15 heures passées dans un aéroport, avec un minimum de prise en charge, de fausses annonces, un équipage à bord avec une communication basée sur l'intimidation, pour 35 minutes de vol à bord d'un avion à l'état douteux.Au vue des bruits de mécaniques à bord, tous les passagers, même les plus habitués aux voyages en avion, avoueront n'avoir jamais eu autant peur à bord de cet appareil, pour un vol aussi court.Je garde le souvenir du sourire des agents de filtres qui ironisent la situation avec des citations du genre ;"la prochaine fois prenez air Austral..."Et puis du Retard sur le vol retour aussi.J'ai fait une réclamation à la compagnie qui évidemment est restée sans réponse même deux mois après leur avoir écrit. Pendant ce temps, au siège d'air mauritius c'est Shanghaï : Révocations et chaises musicales au programme,tandis qu'air Austral, Air-France et corsair cumulent les réservations. A croire que le client pour air mauritius, n'a finalement guère plus de valeur que les macaques de laboratoire transportés par Malteh aero.Conclusion : Animaux ou clients aux mains de bétaillères à fric = c'est la même...

      I booked an air ticket on dated 01/11/2022 booking referance No. KKAXE7, E ticket No. 2392403693585 and applied for cancellation & refund immediately on 02/11/2022 by sending an e- mail to the authorities of Air Mauritius.They responded that refund will be credited to the account used for payment with in 3-4 weeks. After repeated reminders for claim & refund still I have not received any amount till date as 5 months have been lapsed. Kindly do the needful for immediate refund.

    • Air Mauritius est devenue très médiocre !

      Cette compagnie était fantastique (les A340 magnifiques, spacieux), le personnel était gentil... Aujourd'hui c'est devenu la pire des compagnies que je connaisse ! L'A350 n'est pas confortable, l'espace entre les sièges a été fortement réduit par la compagnie. Le personnel est devenu très antipathique, presque raciste. Les repas sont maintenant catastrophiques... Aucune procédure "cool" d'embarquement. Impossible de se faire attribuer un siège aux côtés de mon épouse... Etc...Etc... Service client NUL, service réservation NUL...Je pourrais ajouter le temps pour recevoir ses bagages, le temps perdu pour passer les contrôles à Maurice... Je me demande pourquoi les touristes vont encore là-bas, alors qu'il y a tellement mieux partout ailleurs... Même les hôtels sur Maurice doivent être rénovés.Plus JAMAIS !

      4 hour delay in Mauritius meant I missed my connection at Paris...stuck there for 11 hours absolutely exhausting after an 11 hour flight. Customer service is shocking. Complained on the 30th January and still no response, I will never use this airline again.

    • Cancelled flight - NO customer service

      Was booked on a flight with them. They cancelled. No prior notice. No Management at the airport. Finally got to see someone after 2 hrs of waiting. Did get booked on an alternative flight. Waited 8 hrs in the airport waiting for the new checkin to open. No services, a bottle of water. Their lounge was a mess when we got that far. Most of all since I got back 16 phone calls, three emails and cannot speak or get in touch with customer services. Never ever again and hugely disappointed with this attitude.

      Do NOT use this Airline. They delayed the return flight by 3 hrs which meant a missed connection and a 10 hr wait at Paris. 3 hrs to find anyone to help....given a €15 voucher.....in Paris?! Complained as per their complaints procedure, waited the 22 days for a response, nothing. Shocking service all round.

      I'm flying with Airmauritius in April and needed to ensure that the family are sat together on such a long flight. The option is to pay £154! ...or wait till 30 hours before the flight, where you just hope that there are still some seats available. What are you going to charge for next, hold luggage!??

      Flight attendances were kind , well mannered, maintained high class standards towards each other and passengers. Food was good quality.Comfortable flight throughout and always kept us up-to-date with turbulence, although I managed to sleep through. The pilot,We put a lot of faith in them. I can imagine it is a huge responsibility of flying such an enormous transportation.Leaving the plane. We'll wishing everyone a great holiday, very genuine.I'd fly with air Mauritius anywhere if it were possible.

      Vol aller :2:30 de retard !A l’arrivee à Paris ma valise est “égarée”…On ne me la livre que 4 jours plus tard.Toute l’organisation de mon séjour est bouleversée.Puis demande de modification pour mon vol retour:14 e-mails expédiés et pas de réponse!Autrement dit aucun service après-vente,le client complètement abandonné en cas de probleme.Bien sur aucune compensation.Bref vous voyagez avec Air Mauritius a vos risques et perils:en cas de probleme cette compagnie n’assume rien.A fuir!

      DEPLORABLE.Français, après un court séjour à Maurice nous avons pris un voyage aller-retour de Maurice à MadagascarAu moment d'embarquer pour revenir a Maurice on nous a demandé de présenter aussi notre billet retour de Maurice à la Réunion !!!! Sans cette présentation, nous ne pouvions pas prendre l'avion...Heureusement, nous avions fait une photo de ce billet.Nous avions pris notre vol A/R Maurice Madagascar en agence à Port Louis pour que cela soit plus simple.Bilan: nous avons payé plus cher que sur internet, on nous a demander les taxes en argent liquide et SURTOUT, AUCUNE INFORMATION sur rien, notamment le fait de devoir présenter certaines pièces pour avoir le droit de revenir dans leur territoire.

      I upgraded at check in counter. Firstly I had to go back and forth 2 times to pay and confirm my upgrade. Took 30 mins to print boarding pass as they don’t know how to do upgrade and had to wait for manager/supervisor to arrive.Once the boarding pass was printed supervisor told us that we are allowed to access lounge as we upgrade. And even when I paid I asked the lady at the counter if we get access for lounge and told us yes. When we arrived at the lounge rude staff told us no and started talking in local language. And just told us no.

      No customer service and when getting told the luggage they left in UK wasn't going to on time for a wedding the reply was cancel your wedding and come back another time.Shocking Airline who you can tell is stated on with no oversight other than income.They will steal your belongings and ignore youUpdate they have decided to delay it again to quote save money for the airline ,aviod booking as clearly they are so short of money they risk going under and as they are state owned watch visiting a country that is going under and run the risk of loosing your trip

      Le vol à destination de l'île Maurice a décollé avec 4 heures de retard, sans jamais que la compagnie donne des explications sur ce retard ! Plusieurs passagers devaient prendre une correspondance pour l'île de la Réunion. Malheureusement, ce retard les en a empêchés. On s'est retrouvé alors obligé d'attendre le lendemain pour un vol prévu à 5h05.Là où une compagnie digne de ce nom propose une prise en charge des passagers avec une nuit à l'hôtel, Air Mauritius a osé dire aux passagers " que l'aéoroport dispose de bancs et de fauteuils où vous - les passagers- pouvez vous détendre et passer la nuit !! C'est un manque d'égard et de respect à la clientèle !Une compagnie est jugée aussi sur la réponse qu'elle apporte en cas de difficultés. Et de ce côté, Air Mauritius reste une compagnie qui cherche à faire du profit au détriment de la qualité du service, qui reste bien en deçà des standards internationaux !!

    • Embarrassing and shocking (Broken Luggage)

      Embarrassing and shocking. Been dealing with Air Mauritius baggage claims since my flight on 7 October where my brand new luggage was destroyed. It’s now been 3 months, they don’t reply to emails, request same forms to be completed multiple times, and sometimes emails even bounce back as their “inbox is full”.I’ve provided all documents and even original receipts of price of luggage (who even keeps those?!) which was brand new, and their offer was a small percentage of what my luggage actually cost! Furthermore they stated this amount would be paid by bank transfer within 5 days after accepting my claim and all bank details - it’s now been 2 months and they’ve completely disappeared with no payment received!!DO NOT FLY AIR MAURITIUS IF YOU’RE NOT WILLING TO OUT UP WITH SUCH DISGUSTING SERVICE AND INCOMPETENCE

      Quand ton départ est prévu à 11h00 le dimanche 1er Janvier 2023 et que l'on t'appelle à 9h49 pour t'informer que le vol est annulé, c'est dégueulasse et ce n'est pas digne d'une compagnie aérienne, je savais vos difficultés à cause d'une mauvaise gestion, mais je ne savais pas que vous étiez arrivé aussi bas.

      This company is an absolute sham we have been travelling throughout South Africa with 2 bags. When we travelled from Johannesburg to Mauritius we thought we had enough weight allowance with 2 x 20kg per person. When checking in we were told by a very surly check in person that both bags were overweight!! We asked them to explain since we had an allowance of 40kg per person how could this be the case. Now here comes the most nonsensical answer that I have ever heard …….. we were told that no 1 individual bag was allowed to be over 20kg so if we had 4 bags that totalled 80kgs that was fine but we had two bags 1 at 32kg and one at 25kg we were over weight even though the total 57kg. There was no budging on their behalf we had to pay 2100 rand or they would not let us on the flight. AVOID AT ALL COST.

    • Don't trust their Flexible booking policy

      I had to cancel my trip with Air Mauritius and asked for a refund in March 2022 (prior to flying). They said they would process the refund within a few weeks but they never got back to me. I chased them by email and by phone about 10 times over the course of 4 months but was always told to wait. As speaking to them was a total waste of time, I decided to raise a dispute with my bank. I provided my bank with proof that Air Mauritius were breaking their terms and conditions by not refunding my flights nor answering my emails. It took about 2 months for my bank to try to get in touch with them until they agreed a charge back. So here we are in September when I finally received my money back thanks to my bank. Here's an advice for everyone in the same situation: don't waste your time talking to their customer service, just ask your bank to raise a charge back as it is the only way to receive a refund from these scammers.Hope this will help a lot of you in the same situation.

      I have booked 4 tikets with agency and now i can see only 3 tikets my child tikets is missing i contact my agency they told me they have contact air mauritius as they cancel it i also contact airfrance because i have connection flight on my trip they also told me air mauritius cancel it now i left 3 tikets and my child is only 6 years old how can i travel without her what should do i contact air mauritius they told they didn't cancel it so where is my tikets

      Good EveningSeeing the bad reviews does not fill me with confidence, and we have not departed.I am in a party of 30 who have spent over £25,000 on fares travelling to Mauritus in October My daughter pre booked seats for herself, husband and 2 children aged 11 & aged 5My daughter is a nervous flyer and as they are a family of 4 booked one of the children in the row behind them. She needs to sit on the outside seats not in the middle aisle. They were not charged for pre booking their seats.With this in mind we booked the seats next to my grandson behind my daughter and her family. I am a pensioner and was horrified when I booked the seats there was a charge of £80 for the privilege. I would expect this charge from Easy Jet or Ryanair, but Air Mauritus never entered into my head. I have paid over £7000 pounds for the privilege and to be charged an extra £80 for sitting next to my grandson is nothing short of daylight robbery. If I would have added my grandson to our booking then the pre booking fee would not have been charged.Needless to say no very happy. I await your comments and a refund of my fees.Many Thanks

      Clairement air mauritius se moque complètement de ses clients. Depuis le 7 juin 2020 nous attendons le remboursement de nos billets suite au Covid. AUCUN retour de leur part. Pas de réponses au réclamation. Ils ne respectent pas les lois cela est inadmissible ou est passé mon argent qui n’a pas servi à honorer notre vol!!!!Nous voulons des réponses!!!!!

      air mauritius me doit un billet retour que je n ai pas pu prendre en mai 2020 à cause du covid ...balladé de pays en pays (maurice madagagascar france) d agence en agence de telephone en telephone mais pas de solution....POURTANT J AI FOURNI TOUS LES PAPIERS DEMANDES ...AUJOURD HUI REPONSE DE L AGENCE DE ANTANANARIVO BILLET N EST PLUS VALABLE CAR VOUS AVIEZ UN AN A PARTIR DE LA REOUVERTURE DES FRONTIERES (QUI A EU LIEU LE 1 OCTOBRE 2021!!!!!!!!!) or nous sommes le 30/08/2022 ...tellement mauvais qu ils n ont pas vu que cela fait moins d un an et ils me balladent ainsi depuis decembre 2021 ...lamentable

    • AWFUL - ‘Mandatory’ policies means nothing…

      We have returned from a Mauritian holiday, (mid- late August 2022), flying both ways with Air Mauritius, travelling as a family of 2 adults and 2 children.Well, it started off badly…we were advised by the travel agent that we could pre-book our seats and check in from 30 hours before departure. About a week before we travelled, I looked up what sort of plane we would be flying on… 3-3-3 seating, or 2-4-2, so I could consider how our family would be seated. At that point, I found about 1/3-1/2 of the seats had already been booked! Fortunately, we got 1/2 decent seats. That said, Air Mauritius do not offer a mid- range seat upgrade, (like many other airlines do), it’s either cattle class or business class, (which is totally unaffordable to the average person).We arrived at Heathrow in good time, checked in, boarded the plane and then sat on the tarmac for 2 hours! After about 3/4 hour, the pilot advised us that there was an issue with ‘oversized cargo’! (I am assuming it was the 3 massively wrapped surf boards that were checked in just before we did, that I can only assume the loading staff didn’t have a clue how to load?). Either way, totally awful… 2 hours sat in a pokey seat that we still had to spend another 11 hours in! (We were offered a little cup of fruit juice to appease us!). (Because of the delays, it caused issues with our pre- booked transfers…).Food was nearly just about ok, nearly, (better food out than return), but then that’s flight food, I suppose?Return flight… well, talk about something in a brewery! People were queue jumping at check in, (literally in front of crew), but crew done nothing, despite it obviously annoying many other passengers, (me included).On the plane, we were advised that it is ‘mandatory’ to wear face masks for the duration of the flight, (other than when eating). Well, I would guess that a minimum of 1/4 of the passengers were not wearing masks or had them on under their chin/nose…. (Back to the queue jumpers…), they were sat directly in front of me and my family, (oh joy!). They spoke with a slightly better class of accent than normal people, which I can only assume is why they felt they were better than the majority of other passengers, as they did not feel it was necessary for them to adhere to the ‘mandatory’ face mask wearing policy. When I raised it with the cabin crew, they occasionally obliged, but overall, the cabin crew appeared to care more about having an easy flight than the welfare of the passengers on board that adhered to the ‘mandatory’ face mask policy! Don’t get me wrong, the queue jumpers annoyed me, so I would have complained about them anyway, but so many passengers didn’t wear masks, it isn’t worth having a ‘mandatory’ policy. It would be better to have a, ‘we politely request’ policy. That way you can do what you like, (as was obviously what the cabin crew were prepared to let passengers do anyway!).The ONLY positive comment I would say is, the return flight was really smooth, but then I suppose if the aircraft does hit turbulence, it should be, no matter who you fly with?Bottom line, I would do everything I can to avoid ever flying with Air Mauritius again, it really was that bad, (to the tune I would pay quite a bit more to travel with another airline!).
