Access the URL in a Report
2 mins read - Updated on Dec 25, 2025A report in Kimola is the structured output of analyzed data. Each record in a report can be linked back to its original source when a URL is available. This allows you to review feedback in its original context—such as an Amazon product page, app store listing, or review platform—directly from your report.
Accessing source URLs is useful when you want to verify feedback, understand surrounding context, or navigate back to the original platform for further investigation.
This article explains how URLs are included in reports and how you can open them from the Analysis view.
To access URLs in a report, make sure that:
- You are signed in to your Kimola account
- You have created and opened a report from the Reports section
- The report includes a URL field (either provided in an uploaded dataset or collected automatically from links)
URL Data Sources
URLs can be included in a report in two ways:
- From uploaded datasets: If you upload a custom dataset (Excel or CSV), you can select a column that contains URLs during report creation.

- From link-based reports: When you create a report by adding links, Kimola automatically collects and stores source URLs as part of the dataset.
As long as a URL field exists in the report data, Kimola makes these links accessible from the Analysis view.
Open Source Links from the Analysis View
After opening your report, switch to the Analysis view. In this view, records are displayed as individual entries, each representing a single feedback item.
For records that include a source URL, the publication date shown at the bottom of the record is clickable. Clicking this date opens the original source page in a new browser tab.

If a URL was not included in the original dataset, the publication date will be displayed as plain text and will not be clickable.
By using source URLs in reports, you can easily move between structured analysis in Kimola and the original feedback context, making it easier to validate insights and support deeper investigation when needed.
