Great service, nice room even though seems a bit "old" (not that modern), however very noisy (next to highway and tank station). Wasn't able to sleep because of this, and curtains were not long enough so wasn't able to keep daylight out either
Broken card reader for switching on the electricity in the room, broken ceiling light in the room, cigarette butts on the balcony, someone's hair on the basin and in the shower, dirty carpets, no minibar, hotel bar open only for friends at 22:00, I have experienced richer breakfasts. On the other hand - spacious rooms, coffee machine in the room, balcony, nice bathroom in the room, nice design of the rooms showing the city of Gent. I think there are options with a better ratio price-quality in this location.
Our room faced the motorway but with the windows shut there was very little noise from outside. Staff were friendly and the restaurant food very good. Although very busy service was fast and efficient. Also behind the hotel is a lovely wooded area that gave a pleasant walk into the nearby town, where we were able to enjoy a lovely drink on a terrace with live music.
Everything was correct. We were given a room without kettle and which smelled (smoking?), and there was no fuss about it, we were just given another room. The room itself is spacious, well furnished with chairs and additional table, and laptop space. Bed and linen of good quality. Nice terrace. What I found incredible: no fridge. They informed us that only superior rooms have a fridge... I didn't think these days a fridge would be considered "superior" but well, it was informed and we didn't see it. The breakfast is very good for European habits and the sitting area is incredibly large (you won't have to wait to sit) with space also outdoors. Sufficient parking space. Very good hotel to stop on the way to wherever you go, nest to the highway.
A huge room with nice yet a bit dated interior. The bathtub is an absolute treat as well as the master bed. To bad the AC was quiet noisy, even though turned off. But price/value wise it still remains a great bargain.
the room was dilapidated: the shower head was leaking, the decoration pots were old and dirty. There was nothing in the fridge, not even a bottle of water. As the only welcome for Valentine's Day, there was just a note on half a sheet of paper and two bad brand chocolates. No glass to drink. The toilet sink had traces of water flow. a single paper heart on the floor as a trace of Valentine's Day. You call your room a royal suite, there was nothing royal about it. Not even a socket to plug in an appliance without having to unplug a bedside lamp or the fridge. The gutter drains on the balcony had burst from freezing and it was a real ice rink. Simply shameful for the asking price.
