  • Business trip night on route

    The hotel is situated very close to the autobahn, and the traffic noise is clearly heard in the rooms facing that direction! Nice balcony to the room, but view of traffic?? This is reflected in my rating.. had already gotten myself installed in the room when I realized the noise level...:( ask for a room away from traffic noise!! Note to hotel; better insulation will provide a much better sleeping atmosphere!! Room 305, odd numbers seem to face road..note! The room itself is huge, bathroom huge, shower and tub both, very comfy bed, large working desk, no minibar..(buy drinks before going upstairs), large convenient parking, good wifi (some sections of room not so good, desk fine, very cozy bar/lounge area! Big plus! Cozy even when travelling alone. Very nice bar guy, serviceminded and kind! Thank you! Do not try fish soup...sad experience..water and veggies, 3 tiny shrimp..no fish.. Quick and pleasant at check-in, great business area for meetings and events upstairs, very nice!…

  • Great hotel

    Stayed here for 2 nights from the 11th to 13th November for a conference with work. Hotel staff very friendly with very good food in the restaurant. Conference room we had was also very good. Would stay here again if I was in the area regardless if it was with work or personal.

  • A great place to stay with large comfortable rooms, and friendly efficient staff.

    The van der Valk Hotel in Melle is a great place to stay. Friendly and efficient staff, generously sized and comfortable rooms, good airconditioning, A minor point, but it would have been good to have an ironing board and an iron in the room, rather than having to ask reception for it. There is plenty of parking and it is close to the A30 freeway. Highly recommended

  • Unexpected great stay

    We were on a road trip in Germany and all the hotels in the town we went to (without reservations) was booked up. They called around and found as a room here. It was about 15 miles away. What a wonderful place. It is kind of in the middle of nothing, but yet just a few miles from the town of Melle. We had a great room, wonderful food and amazing service from the front desk. They went out of their way to find us an eye doctor and even made the appointment for us. They recommended great restaurants and some sightseeing ideas. Our one night stay turned into 3 nights because we enjoyed it so much.

    The rooms are neat and clean. Service is very good. negative is that this room doesn't have an minibar. you need to purchase your items at the front desk. Otherwise everything is comfortable over here.

  • Nice and comfortable hotel with great staff!

    The service in this hotel is very good; all staff tries their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Minor details: I missed a removable showerhead in the showerspace and if you want fresh air in the room the option is to open the balcony door which is fine but this does provide some noise from the highway which, for some people, could be a nuisance. (No outside sounds when closed!!!) They creatively solved this by providing ear plugs as standard item on your pillow! :) The breakfast buffet offers plenty of choices for all. It is possible to book brunch on Sunday (must make reservations). The hotel is near the highway so easy to get to nearby Osnabruck for example. It is not easy (if at all) to reach by public…

    Acces to a bar without smoke could be nice ! The cigar smoke from the cigar bar is also noticable in the lobby !! The restaurant staff is very freindly and the orange juice at the breakfast buffet is realy apreciated !

  • Little disappoint

    Wall-to-wall carpet, no possibility open the window nights, one big single mattress and one quilt! Location perfect! Breakfast very good. Good parking. Last evening a very nice and service minded guy in the restaurant from Hungary.

  • Lovely hotel!

    A very lovely hotel; full equipped and with internal parking; rooms are big and comfortable as well as bathrooms. Rich breakfast for each preference! The restaurant has a good kitchen, too. Very kind staff at all level.

  • Great stay

    A modern and clean hotel with excellent service. Will certainly come back. Fitness facilities could be better and and upgrade of equipment would make the overall experience even better. Location is super with quick access to highways and to beautiful surroundings.
