This is one of those book that you have read once every year or every 2 years, as it reminds you of the mindset needed to tackle life challenges and get better.
Simple agreements such as Do not take anything personally, Do not make assumptions is a great reminder on how to navigate your day to day.
I love the way this book dissects each topic without over complicating the verbiage, making it readable for a broader age group.
Disagree with the fundamental concept. The author presents this as a truth without any attempt to defend or explain it validity as the foundation of the book
When I was reading it, I just kept thinking "this sounds an awful lot like a paper I would write in 8th or 9th grade that I needed to hit a word count and put a lot of fluff into"
While some things sounds nice, I don't think the overall message of the book is realistic and I don't understand why there is a cult following for it. I agree we need to love ourselves and grant ourselves emotional freedom, but the overall vibe of the book is very self-centered. I will not recommend this book to anyone.
Reading a philosophy book is an interesting experience. My initial thought is to review it based on the content, but I donât think thatâs appropriate for philosophy books. Instead Iâll comment on how the content is shared.
This book is easy to follow along with. The concepts are high and deep but still understandable and digestible. Mills and Miguel Ruiz do a great job in breaking down these large concepts into easy to comprehend ideas.
This is worth checking out if you want to consider ways to integrate different perspectives and habits into your worldview.
Received this book as a gift while my son was in rehab. I read it and then gave it to him. Also bought three more copies that I gifted to other people. Some of the book is a bit esoteric but the advice is so good and can be life changing.
