Maple is charging for speaking to a doctor for services that should be billed to the government? This should be shut down.
Maple used to offer 100% BC MSP-covered appointments with a GP. Not sure if it’s greed or laziness, but Maple now wants $79 for what should be free GP consults in BC. Outrageous!
Would recommend any of the other various apps - Tia, Telus health, etc - to access FULLY covered MSP GP consults.
This is such a great adjunct to an overburdened healthcare system. One objectively good use of technology. Truly helps lots of people, I believe, making healthcare more accessible.
The site seems all free until you get to the part where it asks which kind of doctor you want to see. Then you have to pay $79.99 (Ontario) before it will let you go any further.
Not worth the money when I can go to a walk in clinic free. Health care is supposed to be free in Canada
Quick and easy to use. I was out of town and they had no walk in clinics. I found the app and had a prescription for antibiotics sent to local pharmacy all within an hour. Worth every penny.
An incredibly easy process I wish I had heard of or utilized sooner. Was able to get a doctor’s appointment and note for work in about an hour, hour 1/2.
