This book is pretty 'thin' - seems like the goal was to mash up as many buzzwords as possible. Further, there isn't a compelling vision here, probably written too early and in a rush to make some money while it's a hot buzzword. Despite their hopes, there is zero chance we will be able to decentralize the www as the founders intended; even if some of the 'Big Nine' fall, they will be replaced. Not until we revise the metrics of healthy civilizations, and people realize we already live in a rich, spatial 'web' and ditch their digital vices will we truly realize humanity's potential.

If you want to know what the future of the internet will look like and how to be prepared for the new reality that we'll be living and working in then this book is an excellent read.
