Calibrate Program Review: Coaching and Medication for Successful Weight Loss Journeys

This program addresses health holistically - mind and body. It is based on four pillars of wellness: nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress. The medications are just a tool to get you started and give you time to work on each pillar. The education provided along with coaching helps you reassess beliefs and habits. You need to give Calibrate a year. Everyone’s results differ, but I lost 13% of my body weight and dropped my blood pressure and cholesterol to levels where I do not need medication. One aspect to be aware of is that everything works through an app. It’s not the best app, but they are improving it. Sometimes you have to wait for a response from them to answer questions or solve problems. All-in-all it has been a good experience and I would recommend it if you are comfortable with telehealth and can commit to a year.

Calibrate has given me my life back. When I started 8 months ago I weighed 192lbs. I was depressed and overweight with a fatty liver and boarder line diabetic. Within a month of using the tools that Calibrate offered I was down 15lbs. At first I wasn’t happy about meeting with a coach every two weeks and sharing my failures, but Coach Heather quickly changed that mindset. She is so positive and motivational. She has never made me feel bad about any choice that I have made but has encouraged me completely. I am now at 149lbs not sure how much more I will lose, but I don’t care about a number anymore. Calibrate has helped me to rewire my brain so I no longer look to food as a crutch but as a source for life. I am happy to say that I am now exercising on a regular bases and no longer have that need to run to food every time I’m upset or bored. I cannot recommend this program enough. Trust me taking accountability for your own actions will change your life !!

I finally did it! The past year of being on the program has been life changing. I am healthier then I have ever been. The app for tracking progress and being accountable, the 1:1 coaching, the curriculum all played a part in my success. I have more confidence and people notice. I am confident that I now have the tools to move forward and continue to loose and keep it off.

Calibrate has changed my life. A year ago during spring break I went skiing with my family in Utah at Snowbird. I could barely keep up and after just a couple of ski runs I was completely done. One particular run called the Regulator had done me in. I barely made it down the hill and then had to take the shuttle of shame back to the resort while my family enjoyed the rest of their ski day. I joined the Calibrate program that year in May. Step by step the program helped me to change those habits that were keeping me from living the life I wanted to live. A year later I found myself once again at Snowbird facing the Regulator run that had done me in, only this time was different. I had lost a lost over 50 lbs., my diet and sleep habits were so much better. Also along with my regular exercise schedule I had joined a ski conditioning course to prepare for this year's ski season. Looking down the Regulator run I felt amazing and I was ready. This time around I was able to ski the entire mountain without once feeling out of breath. The Calibrate program has done more than just help me get back into shape it has truly reshaped my life so I can live it the way I want to.

I have learned so much about myself since starting this program over two years ago. I am now on Masters year two, and still motivated and going strong. The combination of meds, curriculum and coaching have re-trained my brain in the way I look at food and nutrition. It’s the first time in my life I am nearing a healthy and sustainable weight with confidence that this is the new me. I was in a pattern of losing and regaining for most of my life and now I’ve maintained for the first time. Regaining control of my health is the most rewarding part of this whole experience. Calibrate was at the forefront of using this combination to help people achieve real and lasting results for the first time in their lives, I feel fortunate to have been on the first wave of pioneers. The meds are only a part of it. And I wish more people could understand that. It’s still work and it takes time. This isn’t a miracle cure, but being down 80 pounds and counting for over a year FEELS like a miracle at times. This company is leading the way and now so many others are following suit.
