Users are frustrated with the recent update of Photo Cleaner: Swipewipe that replaced the convenient swipe feature with a slower scrolling interface, leading to laggy performance and inefficiency. Many customers express disappointment and consider canceling subscriptions due to the app's new format. The app's previous appeal was its ability to swiftly navigate through photos, but the recent changes have hindered this experience. Users emphasize the importance of bringing back the swipe functionality and express concerns over the shift to a feed format. Despite its effectiveness in photo cleaning, the app's usability has significantly decreased post-update.

It would be 5 stars like id been planning on, but a recent update made it less easy to use. I liked the swipe feature, not scrolling and hitting delete on each one. May as well just do it in the native photo app at that point.
The whole point was to quickly swipe through and delete/keep photos. Now itâs been turned into a social media style long scroll feed that doesnât load very quickly if at all.
They updated it and now instead of swiping like tinder, which is the fun part, you have to just scroll through all your pictures and click delete or keep scrolling. And it is super laggy now. The app is amazing they just need to restore what it was literally yesterday.
Loved this app, when it was actually a swipe-to-manage one. The new update turns a simple, single gesture tool into something literally worse than just using the inbuilt Photo app to manage old photos. I'll check in over the next few weeks to see if they undo this and make it useful again. But if not, guess I'll just have one less app on my phone đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸
I absolutely loved the swipe model for âon this dayâ - if there is any way for the paying customers to choose to swipe or scroll it would be greatly appreciated and back to a 5 star rating for me
Wouldâve given it 4 stars (5 if it wasnât charged WEEKLY because thatâs ridiculous in itself) but this morning I opened the app and the âswipeâ mode had changed to a âscroll and click deleteâ mode. Why would you make a quick photo cleaning app more difficult to work with? This new format is significantly slower and more awkward to use. Hoping it switches back promptly or else Iâll be cancelling my subscription.
