It was ok not as cool for me as it was when I was little lol food was alright lots of kids running around parents not teaching them to wait their turn lol it is what it is
My grandson enjoyed the museum so much, we left when they turned the lights off. The dissected cow eye kept his attention.
What a great find at Pier 15. I only wish we had more time to spend there. Interesting phenomenan like optical illusions and physics surprises.
I loved it! I went with my family in July 2018 and we really enjoyed it. Itâs a great activity to do with kids because you learn playing and touching the different objects around the building. So didactical and fun.
First off here is some thoughts for adults without kids. GO THUR NIGHTS BETWEEN 6 and 10 PM. This is adults only where you can be among other tame souls and concentrate on the exhibits. Not knowing this I showed up at 11 am. Big mistake. Between children who've never be taught to not scream and shout in public places, school groups that think the place is a play ground, teens running and playing tag and youngsters of all ages bumping into you and/or butting in while you are looking at an exhibit you will wish you had picked a better time. Things do seem to calm down after 1:30 or so daily. The ruckus was so intense I found a corner on the 2nd floor to escape for awhile.Lenght of visit depends on your curiosity level.Classic street cars will take you right to the front door.
I've been to the Exploratorium twice, both times for over three hours or more, and each time I could have stayed for another three hours at least! there is so much to see and do, and it is even fun to watch other people (especially kids) experience the exhibits. There are still areas I know I haven't walked through, and I will hopefully visit again soon to take care of that issue. If you like science, you'll love the Exploratorium!
