  • I took my friend to The Lanesborough for the Queen Charlotte Afternoon Tea as a 40th birthday treat. The hotel is beautiful and grand, but not at all pretentious. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. The staff were attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Mario was especially charming.The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the added bonus we didn’t expect was that the tea and sandwiches were unlimited.We had a wonderful time enjoying our tea (we tried the Lanesborough Breakfast and Queen Charlotte blends; both lovely), and food in the beautiful dining room, with a pianist setting the scene.The atmosphere was lovely and we didn’t want to leave.We left comfortably full and the staff boxed up our leftovers to enjoy at home.Also a special nod to the Queen Charlotte cocktail, which went down a treat.This felt a truly special experience and I highly recommend.Thank you to The Lanesborough team for a wonderful afternoon.
