Review of Busuu Language Learning App

Busuu language learning app offers interactive lessons and the opportunity to practice with native speakers. The app has some bugs and lacks detailed explanations, but it is effective for language revision. It provides grammar lessons and vocabulary practice, and allows users to receive corrections from native speakers. However, there are limitations in the app's translations and mnemonics. Despite these drawbacks, Busuu is a valuable tool for language learning.

  • The spoken French in the app come with some weird accents that I don't recognise as French. Potentially recorded with non-native speakers or those from Canada perhaps? Feels like they should do a separate course for Canada as there has been an emphasis on Canadian culture from the beginning. I'll update my review if this changes.

  • I cant get back to my account, when I updated Busuu, it logged me out and I couldn't find my account with the subscription in it. Now I just wasted my subscription. I have tried all emails I registered for Busuu but non of it has my subscription. Please help me track and sign in using the account with subscription. Also don't auto log out someone's account 😭

  • imo the app is more immersive, however you have to use it as an addition to your learning, since it wont explain some of the concepts of certain language. For example French is a very weird language, if you haven't learned some of the basics it can be frustrating at times to understand and follow up

  • Good app for learning, but for example you want to learn Spanish Spain and people from Columbia or Argentina tell you their version of corrections and if you are a beginner this can be really confusing. I would suggest limiting corrections to speakers, who speak the variant you are learning. Gave you one star more for having Es_es and Latin American. Thought there is no separation, because I was doing some corrections for people and some suggestions are totally off.

  • Absolutely the most perfect app I used since Duolingo for learning a new language. Lessons for fast, I get pretty good notes from all sections of a lesson. And most importantly, because I could get feedback from *actual* people instead of just the app (referring to Duolingo), it makes me feel more better about learning and that people are encouraging my learning instead of trying to discourage it. Love the app, I highly recommend it to anyone I know!

  • I like the app, but if you, like me, are studying more than one language at the same time, you will find that switching between your languages or different courses can be really problematic. They fixed the Problem but after the last update similar problem appeared. Course level is lost when switching between languages. Very annoying
