    We have used thumbtack for a few years now for a variety of things: getting a massive desk built, a glass white board installed, housekeepers, party rentals, photo booth, etc. It's a great way to find any service you may need at a great value.

    Like others have said: Exorbitant lead prices for questionable leads. If you are a Thumbtack customer, be aware that the pros you contact through that site are being taken advantage of. Thumbtack often collects around $300 in lead fees for a job that is expected to pay about $400. That's a 75% cut, and in some cases it's more than 100%. That's right--if you're a hardworking pro, Thumbtack might take away all of your earnings, and then some.Greed is part of every business endeavor, but Thumbtack has taken the greed way too far. Basic decency should lead people away from Thumbtack.

    Thumbtack has been AMAZING! I recently purchased a new home and was able to find contractors to fix windows, repairs floors, and paint my kitchen cabinets. The estimates received were very reasonable and a lot cheaper than commercial businesses.
