I liked Danny and Meghan, and believe I was given sound advice. However, when it came to finalizing the loan, having the bank work with the title company, and getting the final documents prepared, it became apparent that NBKC didn’t have the capabilities, resources, sophistication and expertise to execute what was requested and needed. The title company mentioned several times to me NBKC was clearly not familiar with FL law. Also, I was advised at the ninth hour that NBKC couldn’t execute against my specific request of only my name being on the title vs mine and my husband’s. Something NBKC considers an exception. It now requires a quit pro claim drawn up by a lawyer. Added expense and aggravation. Lastly, at closing, I was advised that NBKC requires two forms of identification. It would have been good to know that in advance. The closing Company stated that requirement was highly unusual. If Creative Planning wants to be thought of as a #1 financial planning company ( as touted by Barrons) then I strongly suggest that it recommends a bank/lender to its clients that has the capabilities, knowledge and resources to support its clients.
