Safari is a great halal Somali restaurant in Harlem, offering authentic dishes like goat Hilib Ari and chicken Sabaayad Wrap. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Vegetarian options are available, with tasty sambusas and mango veggie curry. The restaurant also offers refreshing juices and unique Somali hot sauce. The new location is larger and more welcoming, making it a must-visit spot in NYC.

Another participating restaurants for the current restaurant week event. I went on a Saturday and they don't do restaurant week menu on Saturday, but the normal menu price is pretty similar. They serve really good Somali/East African food; definitely check out this place! I really like the goat in Hilib Ari dish - a little too salty if you eat it by itself but the taste balances out when you eat with rice or the sabaayed (chappati flat bread). The beef imo is kinda similar to normal beef stew. The sambusa is pretty good. Their juice is delicious as well.
Food is good. But service sucks. I got 3 entrees I was giving 2. I ordered 4 beef samosas I was given 2 vegetarian. Thanks God, I looked at the order. If not I would have drove 1hr back home and realized what just happened. Oo another thing they only had few things available on the menu. I would go back once more before I ban it.
The food was amazing and served very quickly! The juices were very refreshing tooâŚwill definitely come back!
Great halal authentic Somalian dishes. The goat one is the best!
