The Kobo Sage eReader is praised for its lightweight design, high-resolution display, and useful features like Google Drive integration and adjustable lighting. Many users appreciate its portability and writing capabilities with the stylus. However, the device faces criticism for its inconsistent battery life, frequent software issues, and lack of adequate customer support. Several reviewers reported frustrations with the device locking up and erasing notes. Additionally, the absence of a pen holder and obscure return policies were noted as drawbacks. Overall, while the Kobo Sage has many appealing aspects, users may encounter significant challenges during use.

Every month or so, the device locks up on a white screen forcing me to factory reset the entire device, losing all my notes and highlights which I NEED for school. $%£„ this thing. This isn't just an issue with the Kobo sage either, it's a problem with their garbage OS that spans across every device they have.
On top of the device becoming an unusable brick bi-monthly, it also tends to wipe my notes completely for individual textbooks every so often when it feels like it.
The product itself is on par with Kindle oasis, E-ink technology with database internationally However, I gave Three stars because the return policy is obscure. I purchased two as for Christmas gift for kids, but I end up with returning one without opening it. However, I need to take resposibility of the return shiping. I did understand I gotta pay but I would prefer this policy listed somewhere on the product page so buyer as I can prepare for this situation.
Until last night, I loved this little reader that was great was just the right size. The letters were nice and big and I could read little walkie with changing pages but it would eventually change it wasn't sensitive to touch and yet it's supposed to be able to use with the fan. I didn't buy the pen yet. I guess I'm glad I didn't because it quit working now. I'm trying to charge it hoping that's what it is. And then I'm gonna try troubleshooting it. But if not, it is on the thirtieth, it was exactly 30 days old and today's only the third, so I'm really unhappy that it quit working.
This is my first serious go at using an e reader and I researched long and hard to find the device with the features I want and need. I made the right choice. The battery life isn't as long as some others but it's not terrible and it's adequate for me. If I'm ever really away from a power source I have a nice portable battery. The other features more than make up for this small deficit. Mind you the battery life is not awful it's just not as good as a lot of e readers. I love that this device has easy connectivity to Google drive and Dropbox. I love its ability to use a kobo stylus that converts handwriting to text and I can journal and write notes. The reading itself is great, adjustable lighting and natural lighting options. Oh I can highlight text, bookmark pages, look up words in text with just a tap. I love my kobo sage!
The Kobo Sage is a fantastic premium e-reader. The size and display make for a pleasurable reading experience. Battery life is not as good as the Libra 2 but I am not experiencing the fast drain others have. Overall I am very happy with my Kobo Sage
I bought this directly from company and have been locked out of my account for months. I have found the customer service inadequate. Yes, they respond and continue to send links that donât work. I like the actual reader fine. I am sorry I made this purchase
