Affordable Recorder with Mixed Reviews

I bought this to capture my last moments with my dad. I didn't want to miss anything, Thank God for this.

I bought this to do in interviews and it really works in person or on the phone. Good sound quality, lots of memory.

I purchased this to record conversations with my supervisors (legal in my state) as a CYA. I kept the recorder in my pocket and it picked up the conversations very clearly.

I like the size of this device. It is, not easy to use. The same button is for play/pause/on/off. The directions, though printed in easy to read font, take up 48 inches, that seems like a lot of words to explain a recorder. If you are using a MAC "contact our customer support." It does not support windows 11. OOPS, my version of windows. All in all, will try figuring it out for a day or two and return will depend on my success or lack thereof.

Additional storage seems like a scam or manufacturer didn't invest in quality software engineers or care enough to . The device thinks there's only 8G not 8+64G. Doesn't look like there's a way to record to the removable storage. Have removed the microsd and reformatted multiple times. The point of removable media is to be able to specifically write to it and move the media to other computers and destroy it for privacy when you are done. What arrived doesn't match the description.

 The recording quality is poor. It sounds very fuzzy and faded. I even checked on my pc to see if the recording was the same and sure enough it is. The quality of the line in is also the same as it somehow is also very poor. Idk how it does it so poorly bc it’s recording directly from a source and not through the microphone but it has managed to do it. I’m not a audio engineer so that’s beyond me. The speakers are able to get pretty loud which is a plus. The menus are somewhat confusing but it comes with a guide so I can’t complain. It is considerably worse then my phones recording quality. As for its size and weight it is a nice and small product and for such a small thing it weighs a good amount but in a good way. It does get the job done to a bare minimum standard, but with almost any phone made in the last 10 years most likely sounding better then this I would recommend just using a voice memo app then this.
