Review of a Great Gaming Monitor with Adjustable Features

I was very happy with this monitor bout on feb 23 2022 till it stop working 3 months ago and of course out of the warranty window. Even though I enjoyed it when it did work I don't know if I can trust LG after this situation.

I do quite a lot of PC gaming and I’ve had quite a lot of different monitors, and I gotta say this is my absolute favorite.

The refresh fate, screen panel quality, and color quality all combine for a great visual experience. I did follow some settings from RTings to get the color just right, and it’s absolutely worth the money. The USB hub on the back is also incredibly convenient.

I do see where some reviews complain about the wide angle of the legs, however I have a pretty deep desk (31”) so for me it’s really a non-issue.

it served me well for 2 years but now the menu options keep popping up due to a broken button or something with the pcb inside. so there goes the bottom part of my screen every time it pops up. I'm not very handy with fixing monitors myself. so now i've got to find out if it's cheaper to have someone else fix it, which i'd imagine and hope it is, or to just buy a new one and waste a good panel. I can say this, never lost any pixels, it looks and plays fantastic. it's just a real bummer such a simple issue almost cripples the monitor. you figure there's be some way to disable the menu all together at least while the windows software was running if this kind of thing happened, but oh well.

If you get this by all means do not use the stand that it comes with. The thing popped open, (not the part that attaches to the monitor if you are wondering if it was user error) rather the stand itself simply broke open. No dramatic wear and tear was committed by me, it's simply cheap plastic. Frankly it's amazing to me that my old $60 equivalent monitor has a much nicer stand than this one came with. Screen came crashing down into my desk, broken instantly. In general, the design of the stand itself is fairly ridiculous as well, two legs leaving the top heavy and easy to fall over. Why not three legs? A couple cents more of plastic?

As for the rest of the screen itself, it was decent per the price and I had no issues with it despite its short life span.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this monitor. I had an older 2k monitor that was one of the first ones when higher than HD became normal, this monitor is a noticeable upgrade. Many reviewers complained about black levels and contrast. It could be better for sure, but for the cost, its a noticeable improvement over any older 2k monitor. I am so happy with this monitor for gaming.
