Achieving Longevity: A Comprehensive Guide to Health and Longevity

I love this book. I am learning so much about how to keep the body from aging. Love the information.

The author should have started younger because he's going to look like hell when he gets to 180. I notice there is no mention of that. Also, who will hire an 180 year old person? And will women still be having babies at 200 years old? What a mess.

I lived near Silicon valley when the smart drugs craze started and it killed a lot of younger people at raves. I know someone who previously was considered to be an extremely intelligent guy totally lose it mentally, and physically.

I am not against vitamins. I am not against exercise. But the truth is you run till the engine runs out. Everybody has an expiration date and we don't know what it is. Maybe his is 180 years from now. But if he gets sick it could be another 100 years of cancer or something. Count your blessings.

I have read a five foot stack of health books, mostly by doctors, that are mostly wasting space. This guy researched health very intensely to save his own life, and is sharing an impressive body of knowledge completely absent in conventional medicine, yet well documented by the worlds best researchers. I have been to the best board certified experts, and one of the best clinics in the world for an eye condition. They all said, there is no Rx for you, but come back and we will watch your descent into blindness for you, and by the way charge you to do it. Nobody ever said AMD is a mitochondrial problem, and there are dozens of things you can do to rejuvenate mitochondria safely--and some researchers are documenting stunning successes. Also, since you are improving at a cellular level, there is a vast array of health problems that respond better than any Rx, and often one can stop taking common prescriptions with nasty side effects, that just mask symptoms yet rarely cure anything. This book is easy to read and empowers one to take control of their health. For example photobiomodulation is an amazing new technology that will make a profound difference--and my optimism is justifiably soaring. Read this book, go watch the author's interviews on the topic. I guarantee you will be blown away and feel a sense of power and control over your own destiny no matter what ailment you may have. Best of all, much of the recommendations are cheap, with NO risk or side effects. These few words cannot possibly download the value of this book, but thank you from the bottom of my heart, Mr Asprey.

I remain enthusiastic about the ongoing benefits I'm getting from Dave's book re longevity hacks. Most of them are quite actionable.
1) I like his action list at the end of each chapter; they provide a quick guide as to your options in each area. 2) His recipe for Bullet-Proof coffee does work at diminishing appetite, a great tool for intermittent fasting.
3) After 4 attempts at trying to get the recommended PrimeNap app to work, I gave up & uninstalled it.
4) I'm learning a lot about what causes early death, and how we can change that.
5) Be careful following his supplements advice, though he always gives fair warning of the risks involved.

Great book. A must read for anyone that has a body or a brain!! This is the most comprehensive book on maximizing performance that I have read. Yes, he does hit the fringe with some of his ideas, and not all of his suggestions will be for everyone. But, he clearly is an expert like none other I've found is so many areas of the body. He does have other companies that want to sell you products, but that clearly is NOT the reason for this book. And he shares some great personal stories. Thank you for writing this book and putting it out there. The one question I have after thinking about what I read in that book is "what grades did Dave Asprey make in middle and high school?" Just curious.

Superficial writing with a lot of bla bla bla. The amount of supplements that he takes to reach a health benefits is ridiculous and paradoxical with the ideal nutrition. It is too much!!!!
