Users of the Goodreads app express mixed feelings, praising its utility for tracking and discovering books while criticizing its user interface and performance issues. Many reviews highlight persistent bugs, slow loading times, and crashes, especially when writing reviews. Users desire features such as half-star ratings, a 'Did Not Finish' option, and better navigation for adding friends and filtering content. While some appreciate the app for its community and the joy of sharing reviews, the overall sentiment suggests a need for improvements in functionality and responsiveness. The introduction of new features seems to have disappointed long-time users, prompting some to consider alternative book tracking applications. Overall, while Goodreads is a valuable resource for readers, significant enhancements are needed to improve user experience.

The app will crash at random moments often. Also, it can be very slow. For example, it takes ~10 seconds to load reviews for a book.
This app is so frustrating to try and use. It is incredibly slow to load every page and it crashes just about every time I use it. So close to giving up.
Lots of bugs when writing reviews and others
After running into errors on the website I downloaded the app only to be met with server errors and invalid calling errors. Sluggish and unusable for me.
Invaluable App for researching future books.....
I wish Goodreads would allow ratings such as 3.5 etc.
It would be more finely tuned to readers opinion by giving a range of 10 points instead of 5.
