A collection of ideas and inspiration for photographers, this book helps readers see more like artists and overcome creative slumps. It offers concepts, assignments, and philosophical discussions rather than practical advice. While some find it useful and thought-provoking, others consider it long-winded and not suitable for beginners.

The compilation is well organized and each idea/page offers valuable assignments, inspiration, and just thought-provoking material in general.
In this era where we are under house arrest (COVID-19), the authors have good points of interest for the budding picture taker. Since it had several contributors, there is no real order to follow. I pick one as an assignment.
This book is useless, its just a collection of suggestions from hundreds of different photographers. Many of the suggestions are more theoretical and philosophical than practical. I thought I'd be purchasing guidance and methods for honing my skills and what I found in this book is a bunch of pseudo intellectuals trying to tell me how to think about photos.
am an amateur photographer. I shoot photos of everyday landscapes and of birds and bees and other creatures. in the past I did lots of portraits.
this book is 'pie in the sky' artistic theory. if you want to make photos that other graduates of art schools will enjoy, this might be the book for you.
so far (have read about 10% of it) I have read very few projects that make much sense to me. disappointing.
More of a book on philosophy rather than photography. I opened the book randomly 4 times and got nothing on actual photographic advice like I was hoping for.
The list of contents at the beginning is all peopleâs names..... that should have given me a clue.
I have purchased this book, and have been the recipient of this book. It is full of great ideas and inspiration for photographers, and good for any level.
