  • The behind the scenes tour is so worth the time and money! I'm an operating engineer so when we finally got down to the engine room to see the old hydraulic system they first used to lift the bridge, I was in my element! They had external portions of the machinery expertly preserved. Of interest, it was cool to see certain components on the machinery just like I see on modern machinery today such as Zerk Fittings for example. At least all the mechanical and engineering nerds like myself will enjoy that part! 😂Of course, let's not take away from the breath taking views of the River Thames you get as you walk across the two higher level walking bridges above!From top to bottom, you can almost feel a historic energy as you walk around reading about all the great men and women who funded, engineered, built, operated, and maintained this significant modern marvel and landmark of London!
