  • mauvaise expérience avec spotahome

    Bonjour,Je souhaite relater notre expérience pour permettre de faire évoluer les choses et éviter que quelqu'un d'autre ne subisse les mêmes désagréments que nous.Notre fille est partie étudier à Lisbonne le 1er septembre 2023 pour une année. Nous sommes passés par spotahome pour trouver une chambre en collocation.Nous avons dû payer des acomptes et les services de spotahome ainsi que signer le contrat de location avant de pouvoir visiter le logement. Comme dit sur leur site "Nous vérifions les propriétés, vous les répérez en ligne", nous leur avons fait confiance. Mais nous avons été très déçus lors de la découverte des lieux: les photos du site ne correspondaient pas à la réalité. Armoire de rangement cassée et inutilisable, sommier du lit et matelas dépareillés et très inconfortables, porte-serviettes rouillés inutilisable, porte de la salle de bain cassée non fonctionnelle....Les parties communes offrant le même lot de mauvaises surprises (placard cassé, ustensiles de cuisine abîmés, vitre donnant sur l'extérieur brisée...)Nous avons fait part de ces désagréments à la gérance: pas de réponse de leur part.Nous avons fait part de cette non-réponse et de ces désagréments à spotahome via " signaler un problème": pas de réponse; via demande de support: pas de réponse, via le formulaire de satisfaction: pas de réponse.Nous sommes exaspérés et désespérés par cette situation et avons perdu totale confiance en ce site :-(

  • Mala atención al cliente, contrato abusivo y engaño

    Recientemente, tuve la desafortunada experiencia de tratar con Spotahome en Madrid al reservar una habitación en la Calle Valdesangil (número de referencia de reserva: V1VKWK-NP). Desde el principio, las cosas se tornaron problemáticas.Además de las cláusulas abusivas y los cargos adicionales en el contrato que no se mencionaron en la oferta de Spotahome, hubo varios incidentes adicionales que aumentaron aún más mi decepción. El propietario se negó a incluir en el contrato una comisión adicional que intentaba cobrarme, la cual ascendía a 520€. Esta falta de transparencia y disposición a ocultar cargos adicionales es completamente inaceptable y contraviene las normativas de alquiler en España.Decidí realizar una visita personal a la ubicación de la vivienda. Desde el exterior, quedó claro que la realidad no se correspondía con la descripción de la oferta en Spotahome. El edificio presentaba signos de precariedad, con suciedad y grafitis, y las fotografías del anuncio mostraban apartamentos cercanos al edificio en alquiler que claramente no eran los mismos que la ubicación real. Me siento estafado por esta falta de correspondencia entre la oferta y la realidad.Es importante destacar que, hace tres años, tuve una experiencia satisfactoria con el portal Erasmusu, propiedad de Spotahome, lo que hizo que esta experiencia actual fuera aún más sorprendente y decepcionante.Además de lo mencionado anteriormente, Spotahome no me proporcionó un servicio de atención al cliente adecuado, lo que resultó en una comunicación insatisfactoria y falta de respuestas a mis legítimas preocupaciones. Como consumidor, tengo derecho a un servicio justo y respetuoso, y Spotahome ha fallado en esta ocasión. Espero sinceramente que SpotaHome revise mi caso y considere la devolución de los 700€ que se me cobraron (500€ de reserva + 200€ de gestión), porque me han engañado y puedo demostrarlo. En caso contrario, me veré en la necesidad de recurrir legalmente para buscar una resolución justa.

    Estoy estudiando en Valencia hace un año, todo lo relacionado con vivienda lo he realizado a través de spotahome. Me da seguridad ya que he escuchado de varias estafas en anuncios de fb. Aunque hay que pagar una fianza de depósito. Cómo se hace un contrato que también es un gran soporte, siempre me la devuelven al terminar. También me gusta spotahome porque tienes hasta 24 h después de recibir tu habitación para verificar que todo esté correcto, si no spotahome no le hace el pago al propietario. La última experiencia que tuve fue con la asesora Nahema, me pasó algo puntual con un propietario y ella siempre estuvo al pendiente. De dar una solución y de brindar la información oportuna para generar tranquilidad y de que mi dinero estuviese seguro. Al final me brindo una solución y estoy satisfecha nuevamente de poder asegurar mi estancia en Valencia otro año más con spotahome.

      Don't trust this company.Spotahome immediately takes your money after you ask for a rental. There is no contact with the renter of the house up front and if you don't actually go live at the place they charge 400 euros of "administration" costs for just putting pictures on a website.In addition they advertise false information on their website stating that you would have a termination period of 1 month, while in the contract it states something different. If you are then without a place to stay in 2 weeks because you cannot agree to the contract and need their help in finding another place, they don't respond.Now I am trying to get the money that I paid for services they have not preformed back, but I am in doubt I will get it without taking legal action. My advice; safe yourself a lot of time and money and go to companies like Badi or Idealista.

      I feel scammedSpotahome offers amazing housing solutions but unfortunately their customer service and the landlords they work with are far from convincing. I have been left stranded, without several hundreded of euros up in the air and no confirmed accommodation as of today.I summarize the circumstances:1. I book an accommodation for 730 euros per month, but the request is refused because it is supposedly not available anymore, which so far is fair enough.2. The owner and Spotahome offer me an alternative "for the same price" of 730 euros, I accept.3. I realize that in reality, the accepted accommodation is for 1020 euros, almost 300 euros more, and that Spotahome took a payment from me that was much higher than the first amount indicated on the ad.4. I complain and I am told that there is an error and that in reality the first accommodation at 730 is available, which proves that the site and/or the owner were trying to scam me by tricking me into getting a more expensive place without my knowledge.5. I made the reservation request again and have not received a response. It's been 24 hours.6. Throughout this process, I had questionable interactions with Spotahome, including the fact that they wanted me to sign a lease starting 5 days before the accommodation was available, which is simply illegal.

      200 balles de frais de dossier pour se retrouver dans un appartement soi disant checké et visité, en réalité quasi insalubre, délabré, surpeuplé (3 pour 2 chambres car le salon sert de chambre, supeeer) et tenu par une marchande de sommeil odieuse qui entre autres refuse de faire un contrat de bail écrit, sous un prétexte fallacieux, ce qui me bloque dans un tas de démarches. N'importe quoi vraiment.UPDATEAprès intervention de leur service client c'est encore pire. Spotahome prend pour parole d'évangile les mensonges flagrants de la propriétaire, ne voit pas de problème à ce que l'on signale un logement insalubre (pas de boite aux lettres, proprio menaçante et connue pour ses agissements par la mairie, appareils en panne et pièces délabrées), le seul mot qu'ils ont à la bouche c'est: du coup vous partez monsieur? Quelle blague!

    • Different to reality without support

      Spotahome offered a flat completely different on the pictures and in reality. In reality, the flat was full of mould, dirty, without a kettle, dishes, nearly nothing was working (not even the heating). At the end, the landlord did not return the deposit. Moreover, Spotahome doesn't tell you anything about the landlord or part of the town (for example that it is in African street) until you pay and see in person. Spotahome doesn't help you solve anything - doesn't have a mobile phone, or email, where you can solve any issue. They just take money and don't care.

      We rented a flat that was supposedly verified by Spotahome. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the flat was in an unlivable condition. The property was filthy, with dishes stored away with food residue, a disgusting bathroom, and a shower screen that had never been cleaned. The pillows were completely stained. When we complained, the landlord admitted that he had forgotten to check the dishes after having the flat cleaned. We had to hire a cleaner, sort out the flat ourselves, and buy new bedding and equipment.A few days later, we encountered more problems. The toilet started leaking when flushed, and the flat would flood when we took a shower. When we contacted the landlord, he informed us that he was out of the country and we would have to wait until he returned to fix the issues. This meant we had to live without a working bathroom and had to use local coffee shops for restroom facilities.When the landlord finally came to address the problems, he entered the flat without any prior notice and turned on a loud machine, disrupting our work-from-home situation. Although the issues seemed fixed later that evening, there was an ongoing sewage smell that we couldn't eliminate. The next day, the same issues resurfaced, and when we tried calling the landlord, he didn't answer. We had to text him, and he arrived the following morning without giving any notice in advance.Throughout this ordeal, Spotahome was not particularly helpful. Their emergency line, which is supposed to be available for problems, was only open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. On top of everything, the first rent payment had still not been transferred to the landlord. Once the problems were finally resolved, Spotahome transferred the first rent payment to the landlord, who promptly texted us at 9:30 pm and asked us to leave the flat the next day for not paying the deposit. We had been trying to get a contract from him to pay the deposit and complete the necessary paperwork, but he avoided the question and instead asked for our ID, which we had already provided. So, he received a full month's rent, and we were evicted on September 6th, even though we had paid until September 14th.When we reached out to Spotahome for assistance, they informed us that they couldn't do anything and offered us 300 euros to stay in a hotel. However, this amount was not enough unless we stayed in a shared dormitory. In conclusion, I would not recommend using this service.

      I had a terrible experience with Spotahome, do not use their website if you are looking for a place to rent! I booked a room in a shared flat in London for 7 months and I had to pay the first week of rent upfront (as a holding deposit) and a fee that goes directly to Spotahome. After this payment, I had to confirm my booking with the real estate agency managing the house (City Accommodations RE Limited). It turns out that the agency started asking for guarantees and documents in order to complete the booking. However, these things were NOT stated in the ad on the Spotahome website, and therefore I did not know anything about them when paying the holding deposit. I could not indicate a guarantor, so they said that I had to pay for all the 7 months of rent upfront, which also I couldn’t do. Therefore, they decided to cancel my booking and not refund me of my holding deposit! This is unbelievable (and very close to a scam) considering that basically they cancelled my booking because of conditions which were not stated anywhere!!!! I asked both Spotahome and the agency to get my deposit refunded, but they said it was not possible and stopped answering me. The house seemed ok, even if on the website ad there was one less room with respect to the real house(turns out the pictures and videos on the ad were from 2017). Moral of the story: stay away from Spotahome and City Accommodations RE Limited!!!

      In the beggining I didn't want to rent with Spotahome because I wanted to ask some questions to the landlord regarding the apartment before accepting and confirming the booking.       I had a problem about the start date of my contract. I sent them many emails and opened more than 8 tickets from 16-08-2023 just to understand when is the exact start date of my contract but they did not show any reaction to my problem. Spotahome lists the monthly payments on its website and based on their information I just needed to pay from December (which means the start date of my contract is December) while my landlord asked me to pay from November. I asked them, Please help me to solve the problem, your information does not match the landlord's payment request. Today (08-09-2023) finally I got an email: "your ticket was closed" and what they did was make a change to the payment list on their website. They added the month of November to the payment list and they solve my problem. They know that they have made a mistake and for this reason they updated the payment list.Why should customers pay for your mistake? How is it possible? You have to pay for your mistake and not customer. What type of customer care/support is it? do you work to support customers or empty their pockets? you have to pay for the month of November and not me. If you do not pay it I will repeat this post every day.

      Fui roubada em mais de 2000 euros. Pior experiência da minha vida. Reservei um alojamento para começar em outubro na Espanha, paguei o valor de 1.100 euros da reserva que correspondia a um mês de aluguel adiantado + a taxa do site, e depois fui instruída direto pelo proprietário da acomodação a assinar o contrato e pagar o depósito de 1000 euros e eles alegaram que a reserva que eu havia feito no site não reservava de fato (?). Fiquei com medo de perder a acomodação e fiz o pagamento. Com mais de 30 dias de antecedência, precisei cancelar a reserva pois o curso que eu faria na cidade foi cancelado pela instituição. O proprietário demorou muito para me responder em cada mensagem que eu enviava, e me informaram que a penalidade da quebra de contrato seria equivalente a um mês de aluguel. Eu aceitei porém quando fui cancelar na plataforma da spotahome vi que estava solicitando com um pouco menos de 30 dias e que eles iriam enviar para o proprietário todo o pagamento que eu havia feito da reserva como punição. Imaginei que a punição já estaria paga e que o proprietário iria me devolver o depósito, porém eles alegaram que não, que a minha punição seria debitada do que eu havia pago direto para eles e que eles nada tem a ver com a punição do site. Como assim se o dinheiro que paguei ao site é enviado direto a eles? Eles ainda demoraram pra me responder de proposito para atrasar o cancelamento e ganhar mais dinheiro! Fui penalizada duas vezes e deram um jeito de roubar todo o meu dinheiro. O proprietário não me responde e recusa minhas ligações. Tentei contato com o spotahome mas ninguém me responde. A taxa do spotahome é completamente absurda, 250 euros para não fazerem absolutamente nada, apenas te roubarem e deixarem os proprietários te roubarem. E ainda foi pago um depósito de 700 euros, um mês de aluguel de 850 euros e uma taxa de administração extra absurda de 300 euros do proprietário para terem o trabalho apenas de me mandarem um contrato pronto e me responderem mal. O total foi mais de 12 mil reais. Fiquem longe desse site! Prefiram o Airbnb que tem políticas justas para os clientes.

      (Spanish/English)En resumen esto fue lo que pasó:1º Reservé una habitación con fechas desde el 01.09.2023 al 15.12.2023 en Spotahome y según su web el propietario aceptaba que alquilase medio mes en diciembre en lugar del mes entero sin problema.2º Tuve que preguntar yo personalmente al propietario si podía alquilar solamente medio mes y este me dijo que no. De no haberle siquiera preguntado el propietario podría haber asumido que yo quería el mes de diciembre entero y podríamos haber tenido un problema grave.3º Expliqué la situación a Spotahome y tardaron demasiado en volver a responderme, mientras el propietario me insistía en que le diera una respuesta o perdería la reserva.4º Estuve mirando otras opciones pero debido a todo el tiempo perdido desde que hice la reserva hasta que Spotahome me respondió, el número de opciones bajó considerablemente, por lo que ya no me quedaba más remedio que aceptar la propuesta del propietario y quedarme hasta el 31.12.20235º Cuando finalmente Spotahome respondió, no me ofreció ninguna opción parecida, se limitaron a preguntarme si me quería quedar el mes de diciembre entero o no, lo cual no es ninguna solución.En resumen, he tenido que gestionar YO PERSONALMENTE el error que cometió Spotahome vendiendo una opción que no era posible y verme obligada a aceptar un alquiler, el cual si no hubieran tardado tanto en responder, no tendría que aceptar por que podría haber encontrado otro. Espero comprendáis mi situación y haberme expresado con respeto y claridad. Pienso que no es justo pagar una tasa a Spotahome de 256€ habiendo tenido este grave problema, por ello pido que se me reembolse la comisión de 256€. Escribí varios e-mail con este mismo texto y no me respondieron, pedí también la hoja de reclamaciones y no hubo respuesta, por lo que dejo mi reclamación aquí.Además, al hacer la reserva introducí mi código Erasmus+ ESN con el que debería tener un 25% de descuento y posteriormente me dí cuenta de que no me habían descontado nada.In short, this is what happened:1st I booked a room with dates from 09/01/2023 to 12/15/2023 on Spotahome and according to their website the owner accepted that I rent half a month in December instead of the entire month without problem.2nd I had to personally ask the owner if I could rent only half a month and he said no. If I hadn't even asked the owner he might have assumed I wanted the entire month of December and we could have had a serious problem.3º I explained the situation to Spotahome and they took too long to respond to me, while the owner insisted that I give him a response or he would lose the reservation.4º I was looking at other options but due to all the time lost from when I made the reservation until Spotahome responded to me, the number of options decreased considerably, so I had no choice but to accept the owner's proposal and stay until 12/31/20235º When Spotahome finally responded, they did not offer me any similar option, they limited themselves to asking me if I wanted to stay the entire month of December or not, which is not a solution.To sum up, I have personally had to manage the mistake that Spotahome made by selling an option that was not possible and being forced to accept a rental, which if they had not taken so long to respond, I would not have had to accept because I could have found another one. I hope you understand my situation and have expressed myself with respect and clarity. I think it is not fair to pay a fee of €256 to Spotahome having had this serious problem, which is why I ask that the €256 commission be reimbursed. I wrote several e-mails with this same text and they did not answer me, I also asked for the claim form and there was no response, so I leave my claim here.Furthermore, when making the reservation I entered my Erasmus+ ESN code with which I should have a 25% discount and later I realized that they had not discounted anything.

    • Miscommunication with Spotahome and Landlord

      So there is a list of things that went terribly wrong with my accommodation.First of all Spotahome requested to pay the second instalment for the second month of my stay through stripe. The landlord was never informed by them and although I had payed them the landlord sent me emails about the invoice I have to pay. I tried to communicate with Spotahome and the landlord but with no result.Secondly I requested an extension of one day which was never approved and I left at the pre-specified date.Remember the extension I requested? Well they keep sending me invoices to pay for it even if was never approved and even if I have sent them like 3 emails about the matter.Although my initial interaction was perfect, later interactions with Spotahome and landlord were extremely frustrating to say the least. I would never choose Spotahome again!

      Spotahome (specifically Nahema, the customer service agent I dealt with) have been very good in the sense of always being friendly, responsive, and client-oriented. They answered my questions and dealt with concerns quickly and in a satisfactory way. I feel at ease renting from them, especially having just moved to a new city where I don't necessarily know a lot about the renting culture. I'm also happy with my accommodation and the booking process through Spotahome. Thanks! :)
