Motto by Hilton is a new, modern and clean hotel that offers a beautiful rooftop pool and bar, gym, and friendly staff. Its location is perfect between the city and zona hotelera. Though the rooms are compact, they are trendy and well-decorated. The hotel serves delicious food, and the breakfast is also good. The hotel has free underground parking, and the staff is accommodating and helpful.

An overall fantastic stay! A new, clean hotel with great things nearby! Things to consider are the rooms are compact but functional. Location is also slightly out of the way. Nevertheless I’d fully stay here again!! Thanks for an awesome stay :)
Great customer service, rooms are cleaned daily, and the water feels cleaner than it does at any of the local AirBnBs. I loved the rooftop and the staff is great, but the cocktail prices are pretty high. I like the location because it's walkable to Centro and Aldea Zama, but you might want a bike for the beach. There are some decent restaurants within walking distance. Easily my favorite place in Tulum. The price is just right for the rooms. Highly recommend for a single or couple who want a decent hotel at a fair price in Tulum.
Amazing hotel, great relaxing rooftop with 2 swimming pools, the staff here are amazing and so Welcoming. The rooftop bar staff were so accommodating and the front desk staff were so helpful with suggestions and helped book us taxis !
Located in under developing area, Good luck finding the hotel entrance It has free underground parking Very narrow swimming pool on the roof, restaurant, and one of the best hotel gym I ever seen at any Hilton. The breakfast buffet in the lobby basically has nothing, it's better as HH member to choose the $15 voucher and use it in the roof 's restaurant. Room is badly designed, beat up furniture and uncomfortable. I selected the room which comes with the bunk-bed, which wasn't safe for kids to sleep on top since it doesn't have any rails. Won't be staying here again. I don't think this hotel is so family friendly, I couldn't see other kids there except mine during my 1 night stay. C U AROUND.
Hilton is a great hotel. The gym is amazing - especially for a hotel gym. The rooftop pool looks just like the pictures. The concierge staff were helpful and lovely. The shower temperature and pressure was great (which is rare in Mexico). Cons: poor soundproofing between rooms (but we could still sleep). It’s isolated from the town and the beach and taxis are expensive (US $56 for a return trip). Don’t use the iron (it damaged my clothes).
I was greeted by Arturo with a huge smile and he was so nice to us! He made check-in very easy and even greeted my friend and I with a welcome drink. Being the first person I met on my trip, he started it off perfectly! Anything we needed throughout our stay, he always helped. Sofia was also very helpful and nice as well. She also always had a smile on her face and made us feel welcome. I always felt like the front desk was excited for me to be there and very helpful. The room was on the smaller side, but had everything you needed. The shower was great and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The walls are a little thin (you can hear quite a bit) but even with the hotel being a little busy, it was overall quiet. It is located outside the city center a little bit, but not too far. It makes the time at night very nice and quiet. No street noises! The rooftop pool was very nice. Be sure to reserve the lounges! Food and drink on the roof and the bar outside the front lobby are not "part of the hotel" even though they are partnered. The prices of food and drink are VERY expensive. More than downtown Chicago! However, Nicolas who works at the bar by the lobby was so attentive and wonderful to us. Very good vibe. Americo who worked the rooftop was also very attentive! Beware of the mosquitoes at the bar by the lobby at night! Bring spray. Overall, I had an amazing time and I hope to come back soon!…
Location is perfect, between city and zona hotelara. Very good food at the roof Top pool and the pool is also very nice. Strong recompendation. Also service is very, very nice, taking care of all your nerda, for example asking for allergies :)
Fantastic hotel. Brand new, and beautifully designed. Incredible gym. Great food. Rooms are a little small, but well appointed and designed. Maggie is the best!!! Lucia on the rooftop was fantastic too. Jose the manager also very solid and answered my questions with ease. One of my new favorite hotels in Mexico!!
The hotel is new, clean, friendly. The rooms are small but efficient. Everything works, fast wifi, all good. 5* for just the hotel. Outside the hotel there were lots of biting flies that left painful welts. Mosquitoes too. These are beyond the hotel’s control but had a big impact on our enjoyment of the area. The are where the hotel is built is newly developed and reclaimed from adjacent swamp. It will take some time for more development to wipe out the fly and mosquito breeding grounds.
El servicio fue espectacular 100 %. Lo recomiendo. - Customer service was amazing, I would recommend this hotel 100% of the time. It’s centralized to all the Beach clubs, bars and restaurants. 10/10
Hotel Motto is a beautiful, soothing hotel. Their food is amazing and their ambience and amenities complete the package. Perfect for our anniversary celebration. We will definitely come back here. Muchas Gracias Motto!
We stayed for five nights and had a great time. The hotel is very new, modern, and clean. The rooftop and pool are beautiful and a great area to chill. All the staff were kind and helpful, especially Arturo at reception who checked us in and gave us recommendations. We will stay again next time we’re in Tulum.
Visit this hotel in March 2023 with my husband. The hotel is new, the terrace is very nice and complete for a hotel of this category, they have a restaurant and bar service on the terrace, which is fine. The gym is incredible. The rooms are very small, not for more than two people. I was especially struck by the service of one of the workers who works in security but for some reason she assisted me twice in the same night outside her regular work area, taking something to my room and looking for the person who makes the coffees since He wasn't there for him to make me a drink... I asked her name Karen Sánchez already stood out with her excellent attitude and service by going the extra mile... I will come back.
incredible hotel for its value!!! great amenities, comfortable rooms but they’re small but get the job done. beautiful decor & friendly staff. GREAT location with tons of stuff in walking distance. easy enough bike distance to the hotel zone/strip with all the beach clubs. Arturo at the front desk was awesome :) xx the girl in the yellow dress
The hotel was very clean and has lots of great shops and amenities within close vicinity of the area. The staff were great and friendly especially Aturo and Maggie who were the best! The rooftop bar was awesome also with a dj and nice cocktails.
First off, the check in process was beautiful as these two lovely ladies gave us all kinds of information and they were very accommodating after a long day. Second, the food in the hotel is extremely good, and we have one of the best omelettes of our trip! The pool was relaxing, and we loved the excellent service if we ordered drinks or snacks. Parking was easy, as they have covered underground parking with an easy walk to the elevators. We loved the area near the hotel too, as there was quick shopping or nice places to eat or drink within walking distance! I could not recommend this place more!
Very nice property with a eye to design!! Rooms are small but perfect for a tulum vibe. A unique experience plus a friendly staff — gym and rooftop are amazing! With great food and beverage options. Would recommend adding a hotel shuttle to drive guests to the beach.
First of all the staff is fantastic especially Arturo at the front desk who helped with suggestions and reservations for restaurants, beach clubs, bicycles, spa and activities. Also the hotel is very well located next to a safe, clean, modern mini center (with restaurants and shops) and the hotel is located between the town and the beach with good access to both. Both the pool and the fitness center at the hotel are great. The price with discounts offered very good value. My only suggestion is that you make sure you do not have one of the rooms with two doors to adjoining rooms as this makes the walls paper thin and you can hear everything in the adjacent rooms.
Very nice stay. Hotel was so good. Rooftop is gorgeous und definitely the heart of the hotel. The whole area is so lovely with good food. A bit sad that there is only one mirror in the room. Fridge in the room good. Hotel staff very friendly. Can recommend
Amazing hotel and guest experience BUT I will only say this so management sees, the music on the rooftop patio is entirely out of touch with reality. You have a more mature clientele who are reading books and you’re blasting techno in the evening. This is not my first night and I’ve been in hospitality for about 15 years. Read the room is my kind suggestion. I’ve added a photo of people relaxing while over the top techno music is playing and I asked the people next the me wether that thought the same/ they agreed with me. Other than that- PERFECT!!!
All perfect . Beautiful hotel, great location. Close to the center and close to the beach. Around full of restaurants, shops ... The food in the hotel is very delicious. Hotel service at a very high level. We will definitely be back. I recommend this hotel 100%.
This is a Gorgeous hotel. The staff is Super accommodating and it smells amazing and has a great location.I needed medical attention for an issue I was having with my eye and they front desk staff helped me find a doctor immediately.I would highly recommend to anyone considering this hotel for your stay in Tulum, Mexico
Motto by Hilton is the best place to stay in Tulum! Split between the beach and the city, you get to experience everything. The rooftop pool with sunset views and complete food and drink menu can not be beaten. The service and staff were terrific, especially Arturo at the front desk. Accommodations at two beach clubs, which saves you the initial cover cost. It really was the cherry on top of a fantastic experience. Highly recommend.
Amazing experience at the Motto Hotel. I think that when you go to Tulum you should enjoy out and just sleep and change, this is the perfect hotel for that. If you like to stay the whole day in your room, this might not be for you. Adventure out, go to the beach, go to the pool and enjoy A+ and 1000 Stars for the excellent customer service provided by Maggie and Ilse. I worked 10 years on Cruise Ships, and I know what Outstanding Customer Service looks like, and they provide this here. Amazing two front desk girls, their level of care and attention was incredible!
Nice and clean place, garage for use, rooftop bar, pool and gym. I must point out that the staff is very friendly. Price is according to expectations for a Tulum. Motto is one of the closest hotels to zona hotelera. Hotel also offers breakfast, which was not my taste, if you are looking for a classic breakfast, you will have to look for it somewhere near the hotel.
This is a new hotel. Everything feels new; nothing seems worn out. Large gym with new weights and machines. It looks like they will soon open a Hotel Indigo, attached to the Motto. The rooftop pool and bar are wonderful. Really nice architecture and style. Good food available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable prices. I loved the chicken with seeds and broccoli. It has a resort-like feel to it with some exceptions. Some reviews commented on the small rooms. Also, all rooms are the same size, so you can't really get a room upgrade. It doesn't have a resort-style spa. Didn't bother me, but if you want huge rooms or suites, this isn't for you. They do offer massage. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. They're all consistent with a sorta upscale, modern…
This hotel was more than we expected! Starting from when we checked in with welcome drinks and a beautiful lobby with welcoming and friendly people at the front desk. The trendy and well decorated rooms had a comfortable bed and were cleaned daily. The rooftop space with an infinity pool was gorgeous with lots of lounge chairs, beach towels, and a great bar with tables to work at. The gym was great and had a lot of equipment, clean locker rooms, and an outdoor area to workout. The food on the rooftop patio was reasonably priced and very good and so was the service. We booked an extra two days stay and were able to stay in our original room and had no problem getting a late checkout time. The hotel is in a great location with a 20 min bike ride to the beach. It had a wonderful…
We stayed in January for 8 days and were situated in a room on ground floor. As everyone else has said, the rooms are perfect except the storage situation, you will be living out of your suitcase for your stay. We stayed in a double room that had access door connecting with the room next door. The door is EXTREMELY thin. You could hear everything from next door. We had 6am alarm, I had to go to reception to ask them to go in the room and turn it off as they had gone out. Crying child in the night as well as noisy group of guys. In any normal situation this would have not been an issue, I wouldn't want to interfere with someone else's stay, however they may as well have been in the room with us, it was a bit much. Maggie was extremely helpful on front of house, made bookings…
Javier and Gerardo made us feel safe, at home and greeted us with a warm welcome every time we saw them! The hotel was very clean and the rooms are sized for travelers on the go! The location was phenomenal close to everything! Five minute drive to the ruins, 8-10 minutes to the hotel/party zone and the supermarket was within minutes away.
So glad we picked this hotel; it was our first long haul trip away in 3 years and a birthday celebration, so I deliberated a lot about where to stay. I’m happy to say we made 100% the right choice. Modern, clean, very helpful staff and excellent food! Free parking for your rented motorbike or car, hotel has a great gym, pool and is even pet friendly! Also, the price of the rooms at the hotel were very reasonable for Tulum. In other reviews, a lot of people mentioned about the rooms being ‘small’, but when booking, there is total transparency on room sizes, saying that this hotel has travel-size rooms that are 160 square feet, with a Queen size bed. The room size, didn’t hinder our 9 night stay in the slightest. Everything was really well designed to fit everything in that you might need and ultra modern too! Hotel food was great too. Ate breakfast there every day and sometimes food from the roof bar too. The Motto is conveniently located, in between the main hotel zone and downtown. (Tulum town) We hired a bike; use ‘Green Trip’ just down the road and you’ll get a small discount if you are staying at the Motto. From the hotel, it was really easy to get to the beaches or the Mayan ruins and anywhere else. Also a huge supermarket, very nearby, called Chedraui. Really enjoyed our stay and if I travel to Tulum again I will definitely stay at the Motto.…
