Mixed reviews for the Javapresse Manual Coffee Grinder: some users found it to be durable and easy to clean, while others experienced issues with loose parts and the grind quality. Many complained about the time and effort required to grind coffee beans manually, suggesting that an electric grinder would be a better choice. Despite its flaws, some users appreciated the portability and quiet operation of the Javapresse grinder.

Look elsewhere. My grinder broke just outside of the return window, and the company's support page is no help at all. It feels like a piece of the grinder between the crank shaft and burrs themselves broke, and there doesn't seem to be a way to fix it.
Worked fine until I had to dissemble and clean. Once put back together, the crank kept spinning the burr tighter until it could only do fine grains. I checked, and it was assembled correctly except now the plastic insert inside the ceramic burr was very loose. Probably needs a replacement burr. Thought I would get more out of it than a week before I would have to start replacing parts…
Absolutely Love it!!
A family tradition, —- to literally carry wherever I go😂
Hospitality on the readily available. Thank you!
Maybe I’m impatient, but this thing takes forever to grind just a few table spoons of coffee and its difficult to fill due to the opening being so narrow. (Beans were spilled on floor) I almost prefer my noisy coffee grinder because at least that takes a few seconds with such little effort!
Used at home, desert, mountains, forest tossed in boxes in back of a truck, still works flawless. easy to clean as well.
Used 7 clicks after 5 looking a bit too fine for espresso. It took 20 minutes to grind 18 grams of beans and when I was done it clogged my espresso machine. The click system isn't accurate. Having the Hario MSS-1 as well I'll be using that one instead and throwing this one in the bin.
Fantastic results. Makes me appreciate coffee's taste even more with freshly ground beans every day. Plus it's a good 5 minute arm workout if you turn the handle in one hand, and the grinder in the other.
The construction of this grinder is basic- no bearings, and no adjustment settings. The ceramic burr seems to have a laid-back attitude as to the amount of time required to grind your beans and it must be frequently shaken to prevent jamming. Other than that it works. In my opinion, go ahead and spend more money on a better designed product.
What I didn't like about the product was it look like it's been opened , used, and returned. I haven't tried it yet it looks sturdy. Definitely needs cleaned first before being used.
plastic bearings aren't stable enough and the ceramic burrs aren't strong or sharp enough
