The Kobo Libra 2 eReader has received mixed reviews from users. Many appreciate its lightweight design, glare-free 7-inch touchscreen, waterproof capabilities, and the ease of loading library books. The adjustable brightness and warm light feature are particularly praised for travel and reading in dim settings. However, several users report significant issues with durability, with devices failing within a year and poor customer support experiences. Problems such as screen failures, battery drain, and difficulties in the return process are highlighted. Some customers also express frustration over the discontinuation of the Libra 2, preferring its features over newer models. Overall, while the Kobo Libra 2 has great features, its reliability and support may leave users disappointed.

I love the Kobo Libra 2âitâs been a game-changer, especially for travel! The 7-inch screen is just the right size, and itâs lightweight enough to toss in a bag without taking up space. The warm light is perfect for reading on planes or in dim hotel rooms, and since itâs waterproof, I can chill by the pool with no worries. Plus, it handles library books like a champ, which saves me from packing too many. Battery life is awesome tooâperfect for long trips!
I purchased this Kobo in the end of December 2022. It lasted 19 month. Now itâs impossible to turn on/off because switch doesnât work. The biggest frustration is that I canât retrieve my whole book collection from this âe-bookâ, not to mention that it was not cheap. My previous Nook lasted for 9 yearsâŚ
You can't find this Libra 2 ereader on Kobo's site any longer despite it's awards and popularity. Kobo is now pushing their color reader.
I personally didn't want the colored reader. There are a number of draw backs for the color eInk not the least being a higher price.
Really happy with this. No ads and easy to load books from project glutenberg, etc
I have a Kindle Paperwhite, and I like it. When I was finally ready to spend the money on an Oasis, they discontinued it.
I love this Kobo. Page turn buttons, 300 PPI, Overdrive. A lot of the same features as a Paperwhite, but the screen is slightly bigger on the Libra 2, and you don't pay extra to remove ads. Sadly, the Libra 2 has been discontinued, but you can still get a Sage or a Libra Colour for those awesome page turn buttons.
This reader turned out not to be something usable for me. The return process, however, was more than a little difficult. You have to pay the postage back yourself and the reseller is a PO Box. Good luck at the post office doing that.
