Village Hotel Katong Review: Varied Feedback on Location, Service, and Facilities

Centrally situated amongst shops and restaurants with easy $17 - $20 SGD to airport and cruise terminal. Staff super helpful.

服務非常非常糟糕，飯店門口的服務人員自己口音很不清楚，我們聽不懂他竟然擺出很不耐煩的表情+不耐煩的聲音，這種服務態度令人十分傻眼，地點也沒有很方便因附近沒有地鐵

The location in the heart of Singapore's vibrant suburb Katong is unbeatable. However, the building is old, poorly up to not at all maintained. Large rooms, but run down interior, windows which are not closing properly or missing sealant allowing moisture and heat to enter the rooms - result: wet walls inside the rooms. The aircondition is filthy, fan not adjustable and extremely loud. The fridge isn't cooling. The bathroom also requires maintenance. All in all, the owner is overcharging at 356 SGD per night for a property which is worse than a Backpackers location. The subcontractor who provides a breakfast buffet is also irresponsible in terms of cleaning tables. If a guest is turning up for breakfast 1 hour before closing time, the tables are dirty and so is the entire buffet. This hotel is definitely not worth to pay any amount and I strongly NOT recommend it to anyone who expects a minimum value for his money. Katong has alternatives such as Holiday Inn Express only 200 mtrs down the road which is even cheaper but much better in service, cleanliness and value for money.

We had a pleasant stayed at Village Hotel Katong for 5D4N with our two years old son. Tbh, at first when we read the comments in google review, we had a doubt that this would be a pleasant place to stay. but, we were wrongPlus:+ Service: The staff is sooo friendly and helpful. we were greated at the front office by Ms Isabel. Not to mentioned that she and other staffs are super responses to any of our concern or question. We already felt like home. When we checked out, Ms Isabel also gave us a little gift for our little son. So thoughful:)+ Location: superb! located in Katong Area that can be considered as hidden gem. not too many tourist but provides a lot of to see. cafes, bar, restaurants, mall, shops, parks and even close by the east coast beach. The hotel is directly connected with mall that has some options of foods and bakeries, and also has supermarket. It is so convinient if you have kids.Also, the hotel has bus stop in the front, in which connects you easily to the city center.+ Room: not many hotels in SG that offer you balcony on each room with decent price. The room also consider big enought for u to move around.but of course there is a down side. The room feels so humid during the rainy season. If you open the balcony so long, you can feel the floor in the room is dump wet.Other than that, we really have a pleasant stay at the hotel. Definitely will come back again for staying :)

Housekeeping staff very rude when I'm doing delivery to the hotel, kindly please educate your staff to talk politely to another people. Thanks in advance.

창이공항에서 그랩으로 20분 정도 걸리는 거리에 위치하고 있습니다. 늦은밤 공항 도착시 이용하기에 좋았습니다. 24시간 데스크를 운영하고 있어 체크인을 언제든지 할 수 있습니다.호텔정문이 2층에 있고 차로 올라갈 수 있는 길이 있습니다. 이 호텔을 잘 알고 있는 그랩기사님은 잘 찾지만 잘모르는 분은 1층 쇼핑몰 정문에 내려줄 수 있으니 유의해야 합니다.트윈룸을 예약하였지만 늦은 밤 도착하였더니 킹베드룸 밖에 없다고 하여 어쩔수 없이 킹베드룸을 이용하였습니다. 이해할 수 없는 부분이였습니다.호텔로비는 생각보다 넓고 깔끔하였고 방은 좀 낡긴해도 깔끔하게 관리가 잘되었습니다. 그리고 도착하기전 미리 에어콘을 켜놔서 쾌적하게 이용할 수 있었습니다. 주변은 조용한 편이었고 베란다에서는 조금이나마 바다를 볼 수가 있었습니다.다음 일정때문에 체크아웃도 빨리하여 조식이나 수영장은 이용하지 못했습니다.
