  • Nice hotel with great restaurant

    Big rooms in this nice hotel, gorgious restaurant. Very friendly staff. Perfect free parking. Close to shopping area, chocolate museum. Feels like in 5star hotel. Swimming pool may be indoor or covered. And charging cable for rent would be appreciated- I forgot mine and big Tesla charging station did not work with my car.

  • Excellent hotel, with a lively and fun terrace

    Stayed there on route back from teh south of France to the Netherlands. We had a standard double room and it was fine for a night: queens sized bed, lareg bathroom and a separate toilet. There is a heater outdoor pool in summer and during our stay it was always very quiet. The hotel itself is housed in a very attractive old building ( a former customs building in the old railway station). They have a large terrace, which becomes even larger in the summer months. We had dinner there and really enjoyed the lively atmosphere. I would go back for that alone. Breakfast was good as it is at all the hotels in the Valk chain.

  • Great overnight stay during trip

    Second time we stayed here, during long drive. Comfortable room, good breakfast. Friendly staff. Free parking with cameras. Good amenities, small outdoor pool. Great plus for us: our dog was welcome for a supplement. We will be back.

  • A pleasant and comfortable one-night stop on route between Germany and UK

    We are two older couples who were travelling by car from Germany to UK and needed a comfortable hotel with facilities such as on-site parking and a restaurant on site. Hotel Verviers van der Valk met our requirements very well and we had a pleasant stay. The breakfast is to be recommended - Very good. Thank you

  • Overpriced, dirty and unsafe.

    Dirty very small rooms. Overly hot with no working air con. Overly priced drinks and food that were tasteless and stale. Awful views of motorway underpass and deserted building. Lying two faced receptionists. Unsafe area full of drug addicts and discarded needles.

  • too noisy hotel

    excellent facilities, nice decoration of bedrooms and hotel in general, but noisy hotel for my work stay in Verviers. (music and restaurant in terrasse all evenings => when window is open, you can't rest) I had bened-fited from a nice price for the week I stayed there but regular prices are very high - which seems to be because of pricy region !

  • Great experience with excellent price/value rate

    We've discovered this hotel on our roadtrip and were nicely surprised! Staff is always smilling and helpful, our room was huge and very clean, bed comfort was optimum. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. Night was very quite.

    Service in the bar area is insufficent. Nobody takes attention when guests are waiting to oder drinks or food. Hopefully the hotel management will improve the organisation around the service. It would be really necessary.

  • Good food!

    Nice rooms, friendly hotel staff and amazing restaurant. The 3 course menu was best price vs quality (and quantity) diner ever. Good location, easy accessible, well equipped. Very good option to stay for this area.

  • A nice stay!

    I have been in this hotel during a business trip. I have experienced a very nice stay. Room are clean and comfortable. Restaurant has a good choice of meal and beverage. Breakfast is really various giving a huge choice. To be suggested with no exhitation
