  • Great for girls 8-9 years old

    I have used this with two of my daughters to explain the changes coming up with their bodies. This book does a good job of explaining without being too graphic and does not go into intercourse explicitly, which I appreciated as I was giving this to 8 year old girls. They need to know about their bodies but weren’t ready for more than that.

  • Best book for preteen girls

    I love this book. My 10 year old granddaughter is extremely inquisitive about a girls body and it answered all the questions she had. If she didn’t understand she would ask but for the most part it was extremely kid friendly. Definitely recommend !

    I bought this book for my nine year old who is going through body changes. She has been feeling very anxious. This book has made her feel more in control and empowered.

  • Read bad reviews as well

    I didn’t read the bad reviews and wish I would have. In the intro it says it is okay if you feel like a boy. No, I want a book about girls and none of this nonsense going on in the world today. I also feel like it says other things that don’t need to be made a issue of. Good ideas but I agree with others that this is for older than 10. My 10 years is very innocent and I am okay with that and want her know what she needs to and still be innocent and carefree.

  • Every girl should read this

    I can't say enough good things about this book. I got this for my 9 y.o. foster daughter who started asking questions about periods. I was extremely impressed how inclusive this book is. Explains puberty in simple enough terms for pre-teens while normalizing it for every type of girl. I wish I'd had something like this when I was on the cusp of adolescence. I showed it to my foster care specialist and she's now using it as recommended reading for foster families in the agency!
