  • Comfortable, out of the way hotel with a great breakfast

    We had a spacious, comfortable room with a small balcony. Hotel is in a very remote, wooded setting with a charming appeal. Bar was small but lively. Breakfast was a generous buffet with hot items, pastries and choices of fresh juices - well worth it!

  • Amazing hotel reception staff

    My father and I stayed at this hotel until my mother was discharged after hospitalisation during their vacation. Hotel reception staff was amazing - they did everything to support us . Hotel facilities are good Breakfast and dinner high quality.

    The hotel is beautifully situated. Great possibilities to take a walk in the woods. Staff is very kind and helpful We had a suite which was very spacious and comfortable Took a massage at the wellness centre that was lovely and very relaxing. I

  • Forest Retreat

    I may have been the only non-European at the hotel but I felt welcomed and comfortable. The hotel is a lovely retreat in the forest, great for walks, biking and visiting the nearby Belvedere museum. The outdoor dining was a treat and the bountiful breakfast buffet can’t disappoint.

  • Best place in Heerenveen

    We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Service was very friendly, the rooms are clean and the breakfast offers everything one could ask for. The hotel is located in a park 3km from the city center, so its very quiet at night andt there is almost no traffic at daytime.

    Positives > nice location. Clean comfortable rooms. Average > Breakfast (particularly for the price...) To be improved > Bar and restaurant service is slow. Staff disinterested in serving customers. WiFi, although free is spotty at best.

    The Golden Tulip Tjaarda Oranjewoud is on the outskirts of Heerenveen in a wonderful nature reserve. The staff are always polite. helpful and professional. The rooms are very well maintained and clean. The food is always excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

  • Escape from Amsterdam

    If you are a tourist in The Netherlands and want to taste more than just Amsterdam and Rotterdam: head north. This hotel is a perfect starting point to discover Friesland. Good restaurant, nice breakfast and ace location.

  • Perfect relaxing week end

    We stayed 2 nights at the golden tulip Oranjewoud. Hotel, wellness and spa are perfect. People working here are very welcoming. Area is very nice and quiet, with a lot of interesting place to see. People at the reception will help you to guide you about what to do in the area
