I bought this after my old work horse tow strap broke after 20 years of service. This one is wider and thicker than my previous tow strap, and I recently had a chance to use it to recover a Toyota Highlander that had gotten stuck. It worked without any problems and I was able to get the Toyota back on the road.
Rhino products seem to be well made, heavy duty, and well thought out. I expect this new tow strap will be a part of my off-road kit for years to come.

One thing worth noting is that the tow strap only has loops on the ends, so you'll need shackles of some sort to connect to recovery points (unless your bumpers already have shackles). I opted to buy the Rhino shackles (also super heavy duty), and they work really well together with this strap.

We got a large tractor and baler stuck in the mud (probably about 30,000 lbs total) so my son had his rhino strap and another tractor. We hooked up to the front of the stuck unit and he pulled it around out of the mud. To my dismay the strap had slipped and cut it about 2/3 . It stayed together and we got the job done! I bought this one to replace his plus got one for myself.

While the product itself looks well constructed. And a good value if it stands up for a few minor emergencies.

My only issue so far is when I tried to use the Velcro storage wrap they sent to keep the strap from unrolling. The velcro instantly bonded to the strap in such a way pulling it off frayed the nylon.

Do I think it's enough to damage the strap, no, probably not. But under load, over time this could become a weak point. At least sooner rather than later.

I don't plan on overusing or getting close to max working load. But, I wish the company wouldn't send useless junk that seems to do more damage than good with their products.
