  • Book is hard to understand

    Cons:
    The language of this book is complex and if you are taking the CAPM exam and using this book as only guide it may be tough as the terminologies in this book are the same but the language is very different. The book also needs practice quizzes or work examples to try from.I would recommend this book for overall current project management methodologies and practices but not as a study guide for an exam

    Pros:
    The visual graphs and pictures in this book are stunning and are easier to understand than the actual words. Overall the book is good but not great for beginners. I passed my CAPM with the outdated 4th edition of Joseph Phillips CAPM/PMP Certification all in one which helped me more then this book but this book was essential for me since it covered Agile processes which you'll need to know

  • Terrible. Just bullet points.

    The first half is just some generic topics. The pmbok is just bullet points like a basic reference manual. I had to buy this for my PM class and its useless for that. Especially for study. Can get this info anywhere online and in more detail.

  • Incorrect page numbers referenced in the index

    Frustrating and time consuming the index page number references do not match up with the content in the book.

  • Important info, but not the whole picture

    When the editors created this edition they did so to add information to the previous addition.
    If you are studying for the PMP this book will not be enough to get you a passing grade.
    However, it's still very useful, and important information relevant to the test.
