  • Everything was very nice. Bathroom could use a little more shelf space but overall a pleasant experience. Unfortunately the cable service went out in our room as it did with a couple others. They came to check it out but it is a cable company issue and the weekend, therefore, nobody can fix it until Monday. Cleaning ladies were very friendly as were the desk and door personnel.Rooms: The bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty on plug in places for our phones, watches etc. The refrigerator, microwave in the kitchenette worked out very well. The huge mirror made dressing up perfect. Our view from 1910 was excellent.Nearby activities: Beacon theater.Central ParkSafety: Safe area in the cityWalkability: Close to the 72st subway station. Fairway market is across the street and of course the Beacon theater is there too. Pharmacy close by. Excellent foods and street vendors close by.

  • I arrived in NY on March 15, to discover my Airbnb was not available. It was St. Patrickā€™s weekend and many hotels on the Upper West side were booked; Hotel Beacon had a room and even upgraded me to a suite for the same price! I had to stay three days until my BNB situation could be resolved for my month stay. Shanise, Maria, Yomi were incredibly helpful. Miguel was also outstanding. He was able to arrange my stay to continue in the same suite room with the same price through the 17th! Thank you everyone. Whoever says New Yorkers are not kind, has never been to the Hotel Beacon. I am looking forward to the next stay there when in NY again.
